Franco Mendez claims Argentinian La Liga Hoops Agents weekly honour

Franco Mendez (188-SG-2002) put on an extraordinary performance in the last round for league's second-best Quimsa Santiago del Estero and that's him to receive a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 3.
The 24-year old shooting guard got a double-double of 23 points and 10 assists, while his team beat Boca Jrs. (#14, 1-2) 105-96. Quimsa was forced-out from the top positions in Argentinian La Liga. They maintain a perfect record without any lost game in the league. The season is still on an early stage, but Quimsa already had a very good start winning all 3 without losing a single one. In the team's last game Mendez had a remarkable five three-pointers out of 9 attempts. He turned to be Quimsa's top player in his first season with the team. Mendez has impressive league stats. He is in league's top in assists (2nd best: 5.3apg) and averages solid 55.6% FGP and 44.4% from behind 3-point line.

The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was young international center Francisco Caffaro (216-C-2000, agency: Octagon Europe) of Boca Juniors Buenos Aires. Caffaro impressed basketball fans with a double-double of 26 points and 10 rebounds. Bad luck as Boca Jrs. lost that game 80-93 to Olimpico (1-2). The third best performed player last round was international forward Kevin Hernandez (205-PF-1991) of Ferrocarril Oeste Buenos Aires (#15). Hernandez scored 24 points and grabbed 9 rebounds.
