Guaita comes back to Olimpico de La Banda

Olimpico de La Banda (La Liga) added to their roster experienced 37-year old Argentinian ex-international power forward Diego Guaita (204-83). It is actually his comeback to Olimpico de La Banda as he has played here before. Guaita is a dual citizen owning also Italian passport. He played last season at San Isidro in the La Liga Argentina. In 29 games he recorded 11.6ppg, 5.3rpg and 2.0apg.
The previous (18-19) season Guaita played at Hindu (also in La Liga Argentina) where in 48 games he averaged 12.2ppg, 6.3rpg and 2.4apg. He helped them to make it to the cup final.
Guaita was a member of Argentinian international program for some years. He was called to Argentinian Senior National Team back in 2003 and previously for U21 National Team in 2001.
Guaita has played previously professionally also in Spain (Baskonia, Ourense, Caceres Basket, Burgos and Tenerife) and Argentina (Atenas, Obras, Penarol, Gimnasia and Boca Juniors).
He is close to retirement age as a player. It's very possible he may end his playing career at Olimpico de La Banda.
The scouts decsribe him following way: A young inside player who has reach the maturity of a senior; plays hard defense, can score, rebounds and passes the ball well; a huge upside at 4 and 5 positions;.
