La Liga Argentina Round 24: Villa Mitre lose to Dep Viedma in the game between Top 4 teams

Even 15 points and 9 rebounds by forward Emilio Stucky (198-94) did not help to save the game for Sp.America. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Union SF maintains second position with 14-5 record having just six point less than leader Villa S.Martin. There were no shocking results in the other games in round 24: Rivadavia lost to Lanus on the opponent's court 58-69. Parque Sur was outscored by Estudiantes C. in a home game 59-78. Atenas recorded a loss to Del Progreso on the road 70-65. Ameghino defeated Dep Norte on its own court 91-73.

Salta Basket - Tiro Federal 66-47

Sixth ranked Salta Basket (11-6) crushed at home 10th ranked Tiro Federal (5-9) by 19 points 66-47, which is the biggest margin this round on Tuesday night. Salta Basket outrebounded Tiro Federal 52-38 including a 40-29 advantage in defensive rebounds. The best player for the winners was American forward Justin Everett (206-96, college: Humboldt St.) who had a double-double by scoring 14 points and 13 rebounds. The other American import forward Leon Gilmore III (201-95, college: SF Austin) chipped in a double-double by scoring 13 points and 10 rebounds. Four Lanus players scored in double figures. Lanus' coach Leonardo Costa allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. Both coaches tested many bench players saving starting five for next games. Estudiantes C. have a solid four-game winning streak. They moved-up to second place. Parque Sur lost fifth consecutive game. They keep the thirteenth position with eight games lost. Estudiantes C. will meet at home Estudiantes O.
