CAO Ceres - Dep Norte 83-93 12th ranked Olimpico (5-13) was defeated at home by eleventh ranked Dep Norte (6-9) with the biggest margin this round 93-83. Dep Norte forced 21 Olimpico turnovers. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 22 assists. 25 personal fouls committed by Olimpico helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. It was a good game for Celestino Cupulutti (186-93, agency: BIG) who led his team to a victory with 21 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists. Point guard Nahuel Paciotti (184-97) contributed with 19 points, 7 assists and 4 steals for the winners. They brought some defensive toughness making 7 blocks. Forward Emilio Stucky (198-94) notched a double-double by scoring 13 points and 12 rebounds to lead the effort and forward Pablo Fernandez (196-82) supported him with 17 points. Four Sp.America players scored in double figures. Even 12 points by point guard Emiliano Lezcano (187-1) did not help to save the game for Estudiantes T.. Center Rafael Banegas (204-92) added 10 points and 7 rebounds. Estudiantes T.'s coach Gabriel Albornoz rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Sp.America moved-up to fourth place, which they share with Quilmes MP. Newly promoted Estudiantes T. keeps the sixth position with eight games lost. Four Tiro Federal players scored in double figures. Barrio Parque have an impressive five-game winning streak. They maintain fourth position with 13-6 record. Hosts were defeated by seventh ranked Ameghino (10-5) 91-81. Ameghino looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. Power forward Juan Luis Abeiro (200-88) had a double-double by scoring 11 points and 15 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and guard Lautaro Fraga (185-92) chipped in 18 points and 4 assists during the contest. The best for the losing side was forward Sebastian Picton (197-92) with 18 points and 7 rebounds and point guard Favio Vieta (188-96) scored 23 points. Five Ameghino and four Villa S.Martin players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Ameghino maintains seventh position with 10-5 record. Villa S.Martin at the other side still keeps top place with six games lost. They share the position with Echague. Ameghino are looking forward to face Olimpico (#12) in Ceres in the next round where they are favorite. Villa S.Martin will play on the road against San Isidro (#11) in San Francisco and is hoping to win this game.
