Regular Season Round 30: Villa S.Martin - Ameghino 81-91

The most surprising game was a loss of top-ranked Villa S.Martin (15-6) in Resistencia on Monday night. Hosts were defeated by seventh ranked Ameghino (10-5) 91-81. Ameghino looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. Power forward Juan Luis Abeiro (200-88) had a double-double by scoring 11 points and 15 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and guard Lautaro Fraga (185-92) chipped in 18 points and 4 assists during the contest. The best for the losing side was forward Sebastian Picton (197-92) with 18 points and 7 rebounds and point guard Favio Vieta (188-96) scored 23 points. Five Ameghino and four Villa S.Martin players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Ameghino maintains seventh position with 10-5 record. Villa S.Martin at the other side still keeps top place with six games lost. They share the position with Echague. Ameghino are looking forward to face Olimpico (#12) in Ceres in the next round where they are favorite. Villa S.Martin will play on the road against San Isidro (#11) in San Francisco and is hoping to win this game.
