LDD Round 10: No surprise as #1 Comunicaciones defeat Penarol

LDD top team - Comunicaciones (11-0) added another victory to their record on Sunday. This time they beat fifteenth ranked Penarol (4-8) in Mar del Plata 83-78. Comunicaciones made 19-of-22 free shots (86.4 percent) during the game. Comunicaciones outrebounded Penarol 51-36 including 39 on the defensive glass. Guard Francisco Llanos (182-2) had a triple-double by scoring 22 points, 11 rebounds and 11 assists to lead the charge for the winners and guard Juan Bejar (186-1) chipped in 22 points and 5 rebounds (made all of his eight free throws) during the contest. At the losing side guard Facundo Cabrera (185-1) responded with a double-double by scoring 17 points, 11 rebounds, 6 assists and 4 steals. Undefeated Comunicaciones have an impressive 11-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 11-0 record. Penarol at the other side keeps the fifteenth place with eight games lost. Comunicaciones are looking forward to face Argentino (#11) in Junin in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Penarol will play at home against Quimsa (#16) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
The game in Buenos Aires was also worth to mention about. 4th ranked Obera (9-5) played at the court of sixth ranked Boca Jrs (9-1). Boca Jrs defeated Obera 88-78. Even 17 points, 7 rebounds and 7 assists by point guard Santiago Konaszuk (188-99) did not help to save the game for Obera. Boca Jrs have a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to second place. Obera at the other side dropped to the fifth position with five games lost. Boca Jrs will play against Union (#6) in Santa Fe in the next round. Obera will have a break next round.

There were no shocking results in the other games in round 10: H.Americano lost to La Union on the opponent's court 73-86. Argentino managed to outperform Union in a home game 80-68. Gimnasia was rolled over San Martin on the road 98-53. Regatas defeated H.Americano on its own court 83-69. Quimsa was beaten by Boca Jrs. in Buenos Aires 90-80. Obras won against Obera at home 86-81. Union managed to outperform San Lorenzo on the opponent's court 80-65.
The most impressive stats of the last round was 18 points and 6 rebounds by Ian Cerino of San Lorenzo.



Ferro - Quimsa 72-87
