Here is the last round review presented by Job Market.

The most exciting game of round 33 in the La Liga Argentina took place in Juninense. This derby game ended with only one-point defeat on the road of 5th ranked Del Progreso (4-4) to third ranked Ciclista (7-2) 75-74 on Sunday evening. Ciclista dominated down low during the game scoring 50 of its points in the paint compared to Del Progreso's 30. The best player for the winners was swingman Manuel Lambrisca (192-97) who scored 20 points. Christian Boudet (192-97) chipped in 9 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists. Ciclista's coach Daniel Jaule used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. At the other side the best for losing team was point guard Valentin Burgos (184-92) who recorded 18 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists. Ciclista keeps a position of league leader, which they share with Estudiantes O. Del Progreso at the other side dropped to the sixth place with four games lost. They share the position with 3 other teams. Ciclista will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Del Progreso will play on the road against Pergamino (#9) and is hoping to prove to their supporters that this time they can win.
Very important is a home loss of second ranked Villa S.Martin (7-3) against fourteenth ranked Jachal (2-9) on Sunday night. Host Villa S.Martin was defeated by Jachal in a tough game in Resistencia 65-74. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Villa S.Martin. It was a good game for Ismael Sarruff who led his team to a victory with 27 points, 8 assists and 6 steals. Marlon Diaz contributed with 10 points and 11 rebounds for the winners. Jachal's coach Lisandro Salles allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. Guard Sebastian Mignani (185-90) answered with 14 points and 8 assists for Villa S.Martin. Newly promoted Jachal maintains fourteenth place with 2-9 record. Villa S.Martin at the other side dropped to the fourth position with three games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
The game in Salta was also quite interesting. Fourth ranked San Isidro (7-1) played at the court of 7th ranked Salta Basket (5-4). San Isidro defeated Salta Basket 104-90 on Sunday. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Salta Basket. Jose Montero stepped up and scored 19 points, 7 rebounds, 8 assists and 4 steals for the winners. San Isidro's coach Daniel Beltramo used an eleven-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. The best for the losing side was Nicolas Zurschmitten with 27 points, 6 rebounds and 7 assists (went 11 for 11 at the free throw line !!!). San Isidro have a solid series of four victories in a row. They moved-up to second place, which they share with CAO Ceres. Loser Salta Basket dropped to the fifth position with four games lost. They share it with Racing. San Isidro will meet Estudiantes T. (#8) in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Salta Basket will play against Barrio Parque in Cordoba and it may be a tough game between close rivals.

Other games of round 33 were quite predictable and ended without any surprises. Here they are:
Parque Sur defeated Lanus in Concepcion de Urug. 75-67. Ameghino smashed Libertad at home 106-84. Rivadavia was destroyed by CAO Ceres on the opponent's court 95-68. Racing managed to outperform Rocamora in a home game 76-62. Dep Norte managed to beat Estudiantes T. on the road 73-68. Quilmes MP was defeated by GELP on its own court 76-86.
The best stats of 33th round was 23 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists by Joaquin Acuna of GELP.



Lanus - Parque Sur 67-75

There was no surprise in Buenos Aires where 13th ranked Lanus (3-6) was defeated by eleventh ranked Parque Sur (4-4) 75-67 on Saturday. Guillermo Romero (198-95) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 14 points and 16 rebounds for the winners and point guard Valentin Lofrano (176-99) chipped in 13 points and 8 rebounds. The best for the losing side was American guard Jaire Roberts (196-96, college: S.Maine) with 22 points, 7 rebounds and 6 assists and forward Franco Chiabotto (199-99) scored 17 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Parque Sur moved-up to sixth place, which they share with 3 other teams. Lanus lost sixth consecutive game. Newly promoted team keeps the thirteenth position with six games lost. Parque Sur will meet at home higher ranked Dep Viedma (#3) in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Lanus will have a break next round.

There was a surprise result in Villa Maria where eleventh ranked Ameghino (4-5) smashed higher ranked Libertad (5-3) 106-84 on Sunday. Ameghino dominated down low during the game scoring 58 of its points in the paint compared to Libertad's 36. Ameghino forced 20 Libertad turnovers. It was a great shooting night for Ameghino especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 55.6 percentage. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists comparing to just 7 passes made by Libertad's players. Power forward Juan Luis Abeiro (200-88) stepped up and scored 23 points (on 8-of-9 shooting from the field) for the winners and forward Abel Aristimuno (195-91, agency: BIG) chipped in 18 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists. Ameghino's coach Pablo Castro felt very confident that he used entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. The best for the losing side was power forward Estefano Simondi (201-96) with 16 points and 9 rebounds and the former international swingman Julian Eydallin (195-0) scored 17 points.
