The round was exceptionally exciting as three games ended with a tiny margin. Here is the last round review presented by Job Market.

The most exciting game of round 29 in the LDD took place in Corrientes. This derby game ended with only three-point home defeat of second-ranked San Martin (23-7) to tenth ranked La Union (13-13) 83-80 on Thursday evening. It was quite big embarassment for the home team. La Union made 16-of-21 free shots (76.2 percent) during the game. Marcos Gonzalez (197-2000) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 22 points and 11 rebounds for the winners and point guard Agustin Sigel (165-2002) chipped in 26 points. Rolando Vallejos (195-2000) responded with 29 points. La Union have a solid series of four victories in a row. They maintain tenth place with 13-13 record. San Martin lost third consecutive game. They dropped to the third position with seven games lost.
Very important is a home loss of third ranked Obera (23-6) against sixth ranked Regatas (19-11) on Friday night. Host Obera was defeated by Regatas in Obera 82-65. Guard Juan Scacchi (186-2001) nailed 23 points and 9 rebounds for the winning side and Tobias Franchela accounted for 19 points, 9 rebounds and 5 assists. Franco Fragozo (198-2001) came up with 19 points and 5 rebounds for Obera in the defeat. Obera's coach rotated eleven players seeing no chance for a win. Regatas maintains sixth place with 19-11 record. Obera at the other side dropped to the second position with six games lost.
The game between Top Four teams took place in Obera. Third ranked host Obera (23-6) smashed second-ranked San Martin (23-7) 83-64. It was a key game for the second position in the league. The best player for the winners was Franco Fragozo who scored 19 points and 8 rebounds. Obera's coach used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Franco Mendez produced 20 points and 8 rebounds for the guests. Obera moved-up to second place. San Martin lost third consecutive game. They dropped to the third position with seven games lost.

There were no shocking results in the rest of the games of round 29: Olimpico destroyed Platense on the opponent's court 82-63. Union was outscored by Atenas in a home game 81-103. Ferro recorded a loss to San Lorenzo on the road 77-66. Argentino was defeated by Obras on its own court 71-81. Riachuelo LR was beaten by Argentino in Junin 113-105. Gimnasia lost to Olimpico at home 84-86. Regatas unfortunately lost to Comunicaciones on the opponent's court 92-102. La Union managed to beat San Lorenzo in a home game 94-92. Bottom-ranked H.Americano was crushed by Instituto on the road 99-63.
The most impressive stats of the last round was 17 points, 6 assists and 7 steals by Lautaro Urquiza of Instituto.




San Martin - La Union 80-83

We could consider it a predictable result in the game between close teams in Santa Fe where fourteenth ranked Atenas (12-15) smashed 13th ranked Union (12-21) 103-81 on Thursday.
