LDD Round 38: Easy game for Union which smashes H.Americano by 49 points- April 8, 2022
There will be only one (last) round of the Regular Season in LDD. The round 38 was rather boring as all games ended with very predictable results. Here is the last round review presented by Job Market.
Obras - Argentino 65-50 Very expected game in Buenos Aires where 16th ranked Argentino (13-23) was defeated by eighth ranked Obras (19-14) 65-50 on Tuesday. Swingman Lautaro Barrios (195-2004) scored 22 points and 6 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and Juan Del Valle (190-1999) chipped in 9 points and 8 rebounds during the contest. Point guard Agustin Cavallin (188-2001) responded with 24 points and guard Augusto Gennero (188-2003) scored 6 points and 16 rebounds. Argentino's coach rotated ten players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Obras maintains eighth position with 19-14 record. Argentino at the other side keeps the sixteenth place with 23 games lost. Obras are looking forward to face San Lorenzo (#17) in Almagra in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Argentino will have a break next round. Platense forced 19 San Lorenzo turnovers. Point guard Giuliano Michelangei (180-2000) scored 17 points and 7 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and point guard Juan Frigerio (170-2003) chipped in 16 points during the contest. Four Platense players scored in double figures. Guard Juan Ramayo (185-2002) responded with 22 points and 8 rebounds and point guard Agustin Facello (183-1999) scored 12 points and 8 rebounds. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Platense maintains nineteenth position with 5-31 record. San Lorenzo lost third consecutive game. They keep the seventeenth place with 22 games lost. Platense are looking forward to face higher ranked Penarol (#12) in Mar del Plata in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. San Lorenzo will play on the road against Obras (#8) in Buenos Aires and is hoping to win this game. Atenas forced 19 Gimnasia CR turnovers and outrebounded them 54-32 including a 19-5 advantage in offensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. Ecuadorian guard Erick Mecias (184-2003) scored 15 points and 6 rebounds (on 6-of-7 shooting from the field) to lead the charge for the winners and forward Maximo Lomelo (201-2005) chipped in 11 points and 9 rebounds during the contest. Four Atenas players scored in double figures. Atenas' coach felt very confident that he used 11 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Guard Ramiro Stehli (190-2002) responded with 13 points and 7 rebounds and center Leandro Fogel (201-2000) scored 13 points and 7 rebounds. Atenas moved-up to tenth place. Gimnasia CR at the other side keeps the eighteenth position with 30 games lost. Atenas are looking forward to face Olimpico (#11) in La Banda in the next round. They outrebounded Argentino 49-30 including a 41-19 advantage in defensive rebounds. Regatas looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists comparing to just 9 passes made by Argentino's players. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Regatas made 9 blocks. Dominican center Rey Abad (210-2002) scored 25 points, 9 rebounds and 4 blocks (on 11-of-13 shooting from the field) to lead the charge for the winners and center Joaquin Marcon (203-2001) chipped in 21 points and 9 rebounds during the contest. Both coaches used bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Ferro maintains thirteenth position with 15-21 record. Platense at the other side keeps the nineteenth place with 31 games lost. Ferro will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Platense will play on the road against Penarol (#12) in Mar del Plata and is hoping to prove to their fans that the loss was just an accident.
