   #1. This week's number one is former international center Agustin Caffaro (211-1995, currently plays in Uruguay). He could not help Sayago (0-1) in their last game. Despite Caffaro's very good performance Sayago was edged 83-82 at home by the higher-ranked (#6) Miramar. He was the top scorer with 17 points. Caffaro also added 9 rebounds, 3 assists and made 2 blocks in 45 minutes on the court. It was his first game for Sayago this season. Caffaro played for the Argentinian senior national team year ago.

   #2. Second place goes to former international forward Fabian Ramirez (200-1990, currently plays in Uruguay). He contributed to Cordon's victory against one of league's weakest teams Tabare (0-1) 74-69 in the Uruguayan Metropolitan (second division) last Friday. Ramirez recorded 10 points and grabbed 7 rebounds. It was his first game for Cordon this season. His team is placed fourth in the Metropolitan. Ramirez played for the Argentinian national team in 20.

   #3. The Argentinian player who performed third best last week abroad was former U19 international shooting guard Matias Bernardini (190-1994, currently plays in Bolivia). He was the major contributor in a La Salle's victory against the closely-ranked Saracho (2-3) 82-72 in the Bolivian Libobasquet on Saturday night. Bernardini scored 15 points and grabbed 4 rebounds. Club Deportivo y Cultural La Salle de Tarija (2-2) is placed fourth in the Libobasquet. But the season just started, so everything may happen. Bernardini has relatively good stats this year: 15.0ppg, 4.0rpg, 3.0apg, 3FGP: 41.7% and FT: 61.5%. He played for the Argentinian U19 national team year ago.

   #4. Center Cristian Scaramuzzino (206-1992, currently plays in Uruguay) contributed to Colon's victory against one of league's weakest teams O.Mundial (8-19) 84-80 in the Uruguayan Metropolitan (second division) in Thursday night's game. He recorded 8 points, 8 rebounds and 3 assists in 37 minutes. It was his first game for Colon this season. His team is placed third in the Metropolitan. Scaramuzzino used to play for the Argentinian U18 national team back in 10.


The list of other players, who all have Argentinian passport but never been selected to any of Argentinian national teams:

   #1. Joaquin Gamazo (198-PF-1991, currently plays in Bolivia) led La Salle to a victory over the closely-ranked Saracho (2-3) 82-72 in the Bolivian Libobasquet on Saturday night. He was MVP of the game. Gamazo had a double-double by scoring 24 points and getting 18 rebounds in 40 minutes. Club Deportivo y Cultural La Salle de Tarija (2-2) is placed fourth in the Libobasquet. But this is still an early stage of the season and everything may happen. Gamazo has individually a very good year with high stats. He averages: 28.3ppg, 15.8rpg and 2.8apg in four games he played so far.

   #2. Nicolas Morici (191-G-1994, agency: Interperformances, currently plays in Italy) was the major contributor in Agrigento's victory against the second-ranked Rieti Real (23-7) 63-60 in the Italian Serie B (third division) in Wednesday night's game. Morici scored 15 points and grabbed 5 rebounds. It was the game of the round between two top 3 ranked teams. Fortitudo Agrigento (27-3) is placed first in Group D. It was his team's fifth consecutive victory in a row. Morici has relatively good stats this season: 10.9ppg, 5.7rpg, 2.6apg and 1.1spg. He has a dual citizenship: Argentinian and Italian.

   #3. Ernesto Rodriguez (178-G-1990, currently plays in Puerto Rico). Rodriguez could not help Gigantes (13-4) to beat Indios (16-15). He did not have that impressive stats last Monday. Rodriguez scored only 3 points in 6 minutes on the court. The first-placed Gigantes (13-4) lost 78-91 on the road to the lower-ranked (#4) Indios in the Group B. The Regular Season already ended. This year Rodriguez averages: 1.9ppg and 1.1apg in 26 games.

   #4. Federico Herrera (200-F/C-1993, currently plays in Chile) contributed to an easy victory against the tenth-ranked Boston College (4-4) crushing them 84-53 in the Chilean LNB 2 (second division) in Sunday night's game. Herrera had a double-double by scoring 12 points and getting 11 rebounds in 34 minutes. Sportiva Italiana Valparaiso (8-1) is placed second in the LNB 2. It was his team's sixth consecutive victory in a row. This year Herrera averages: 9.6ppg, 8.0rpg, 1.9apg and 1.1spg in seven games.

   #5. Sebastian Picton (197-F-1992, currently plays in Paraguay) was the main contributor in a San Jose's victory against the fourth-ranked Colonias Gold (2-3) crushing them 94-68 in a derby game in the Paraguayan LNB last Thursday. He was MVP of the game. Picton recorded 17 points and grabbed 7 rebounds. Deportivo San Jose Asuncion (4-0) is placed second in Final 6 group. So far his team won all four games in the Second Stage. They will play only one more game in the Second Stage. And that game will be critical. This season Picton has relatively solid stats: 13.5ppg, 6.1rpg, 1.9apg and 1.3spg.

   #6. Fernando Dose (200-F-1994, currently plays in Paraguay) is a teammate of previously mentioned Sebastian Picton and both played together in the last Paraguayan LNB game. Dose contributed to an easy victory against the fourth-ranked Colonias Gold crushing them 94-68 in a derby game. He recorded 17 points and grabbed 5 rebounds in 22 minutes. Dose has very impressive stats this year: 15.6ppg, 5.6rpg and 3.2apg in 10 games. He is another player who holds two passports: Argentinian and Paraguayan.

   #7. Franco Benitez (199-F-1994, currently plays in Paraguay) is a teammate of previously mentioned Sebastian Picton. He played also in the last Paraguayan LNB game facing Fernando Dose (above) in the other team. Benitez contributed to an easy victory against the fourth-ranked Colonias Gold crushing them 94-68 in a derby game. He recorded 9 points and grabbed 12 rebounds. This season Benitez has relatively solid stats: 14.4ppg, 9.2rpg and 1.4apg.

   #8. Experienced Sebastian Alvarez (185-PG-1989, currently plays in Uruguay) contributed to Colon's victory against one of league's weakest teams O.Mundial 84-80 in the Uruguayan Metropolitan (second division) last Thursday. He was MVP of the game. Alvarez recorded 19 points and grabbed 6 rebounds in 40 minutes. It was his first game for Colon this season.

   #9. Santiago Barrales (189-SF-1998, currently plays in Bolivia) is a teammate of previously mentioned Joaquin Gamazo and both played together in the last Bolivian Libobasquet game. Barrales managed to help Club Deportivo y Cultural La Salle de Tarija to win against the closely-ranked Saracho 82-72. He scored 5 points and added 3 passes. This season Barrales averages: 5.8ppg, 1.8rpg and 2.0apg.
