   #1. This week's number one is former international guard Nicolas Laprovittola (190-1990, currently plays in Spain). He led Barca to a 2-point victory over the closely-ranked Tenerife (4-1) 67-65 in the Spanish Liga Endesa in Sunday night's game. Laprovittola was MVP of the game. He scored 25 points and added 3 assists (was perfect 5-for-5 from the free throw line) in 29 minutes on the court. It was the game of the round between two top 4 ranked teams. FC Barcelona Lassa (3-0) is placed first in the Liga Endesa. So far his team won all three games in the Regular Season. But this is still an early stage of the season and everything may happen. Laprovittola has relatively good stats this year: 10.6ppg, 2.8rpg, 4.4apg, 2FGP: 45.0%, 3FGP: 30.8% and FT: 84.6% in five games he played so far. He played for the Argentinian senior national team year ago.

   #2. Second place goes to former international forward Gabriel Deck (198-1995, currently plays in Spain). Deck could not help Real Madrid (3-0) in their last game on Sunday. Despite his very good performance the league leader Real Madrid was defeated 88-82 on the road by the lower-ranked Baskonia (#7). Deck was the top scorer with 17 points. He also added 8 rebounds. But the season just started, so everything may happen. This year Deck averages: 7.6ppg, 5.0rpg, 1.4apg, 2FGP: 52.0%, 3FGP: 33.3%. He played for the Argentinian national team in 22.

   #3. The Argentinian player who performed third best last week abroad was former international small forward Nicolas Brussino (205-1993, currently plays in EuroCup). Brussino was not able to help Gran Canaria (1-1) in their last game. Despite his very good performance Gran Canaria lost 82-93 in Patras to the second-ranked Promitheas. Brussino was the top scorer with 19 points. He also added 9 rebounds and dished 5 assists in 30 minutes. But the season is still in its first stage and everything can happen. This year Brussino has relatively solid stats: 14.0ppg, 8.0rpg, 4.0apg, 3FGP: 46.2%(6-13) in two games. He played for the Argentinian national team year ago.

   #4. Center Marcos Delia (209-1992, currently plays in Lithuania) led Wolves to a victory against the seventh-ranked P.Zvaigzdes (3-3) 76-69 in the Lithuanian LKL last Sunday. Delia scored 11 points, grabbed 6 rebounds and made 2 blocks in a mere 17 minutes. BC Wolves (4-1) is placed third in the LKL. But the season is still in its first stage and everything can happen. This year Delia's overall stats are: 5.8ppg, 3.8rpg, 2.0apg and 1.2bpg in five games. He has a dual citizenship: Argentinian and Italian. Delia used to play for the Argentinian national team back in 22.

   #5. Former international guard Luca Vildoza (191-1995, agency: Octagon Europe, currently plays in Euroleague) was not able to secure a victory for Crvena Zvezda (0-4) in their last game on Friday. Despite his good performance Crvena Zvezda was badly defeated 72-56 in Madrid by the higher-ranked Real (#11). Vildoza was the second best scorer with 10 points. He also added 4 passes. It was his first game for Crvena Zvezda this season. But the season is still in its first stage and everything can happen. Vildoza used to play for the Argentinian national team years ago.

Point guard Jose Vildoza (191-1996, also represented by Octagon Europe, currently plays in Brazil) was the major contributor in Flamengo's victory against the fifth-ranked Corinthians (2-1) 82-70 in the Brazilian NBB in Thursday night's game. He scored 16 points and added 3 passes in 27 minutes. Clube de Regatas do Flamengois placed in the NBB. Vildoza has reliable stats this year: 12.3ppg, 2.3rpg, 4.3apg and 1.3spg in three games. He is a former international player as he played for the Argentinian senior team year ago.

   #7. An experienced former international point guard Nicolas Aguirre (189-1988, currently plays in Brazil) is a teammate of previously mentioned Jose Vildoza. But that was another game of his team in Brazilian NBB which we would like to mention. Aguirre contributed to an easy victory against one of league's weakest teams Pato (0-2) crushing them 91-64. He recorded a double-double by scoring 11 points and making 10 passes. Aguirre also added 5 rebounds. Clube de Regatas do Flamengois placed in the NBB. Aguirre's total stats this season are: 4.3ppg, 2.0rpg and 4.0apg. He used to play for the Argentinian national team years ago.

   #8. Shooting guard Martin Cuello (193-1993, currently plays in Brazil) is a teammate of previously mentioned Jose Vildoza and both played together in the last Brazilian NBB game. Cuello contributed to Flamengo's victory against the fifth-ranked Corinthians (2-1) 82-70. He scored 14 points and added 4 passes in 35 minutes. Cuello's stats this year are: 14.3ppg, 1.7rpg and 3.3apg in three games. He used to play for the Argentinian national team back in 21.

Whelan was the second best scorer with 16 points. He also added 4 rebounds and 6 assists in 24 minutes. But the third-placed Sibiu (3-1) was crushed 112-88 in Cluj Napoca by the leading Cluj Napoca in the Group A. They ended the series of three consecutive victories. But the season is still in its first stage and everything can happen. Whelan averaged so far 12.0ppg, 3.7rpg, 4.3apg and 1.3spg in three games. He is a former U19 international player as years ago he still played for the Argentinian national team.

   #11. Former international guard Santiago Scala (187-1991, currently plays in Brazil) contributed to Vivo/Franca's victory against the 12th-ranked Rio Claro 93-79 in the Brazilian NBB on Saturday night. Scala scored 13 points and added 3 passes. Scala's total stats this season are: 8.5ppg, 2.0rpg and 3.0apg. He used to play for the Argentinian national team years ago.

   #12. Former international shooting guard Maximo Fjellerup (196-1997, currently plays in Spain) led Girona to a victory over the closely-ranked Real Betis 79-71 in the Spanish Liga Endesa last Sunday. Fjellerup was the best player in that game. He scored 18 points. Fjellerup's total stats this season are: 10.0ppg and 2.2rpg. He used to play for the Argentinian national team back in 22.

   #13. Former international point guard Lucio Redivo (183-1994, currently plays in Italy) was the main contributor in Monferrato's victory against the tenth-ranked Trapani 70-65 in the Italian Serie A2 (second division) last Sunday. He was the top player that evening. Redivo scored 21 points and grabbed 4 rebounds in 33 minutes. Redivo has individually a very good year with high stats. He averages: 16.5ppg, 3.0rpg and 2.5apg in four games. Redivo used to play for the Argentinian national team years ago.

   #14. Former international small forward Patricio Garino (201-1993, college: GWU, currently plays in Spain) is a teammate of previously mentioned Maximo Fjellerup and both played together in the last Spanish Liga Endesa game. Garino contributed to Girona's victory against the closely-ranked Real Betis 79-71. He scored 13 points. Garino's total stats this season are: 4.6ppg and 1.2rpg. He used to play for the Argentinian national team back in 22.

   #15. Former international center Juan Fernandez (209-2002, currently plays in Spain) contributed to a 3-point Fuenlabrada's victory against the league leader Zaragoza 82-79 in the Spanish Liga Endesa last Saturday. Fernandez scored 10 points. Fernandez's total stats this season are: 4.4ppg and 1.6rpg. He used to play for the Argentinian national team years ago.

Experienced Ariel Filloy (190-PG-1987, agency: Interperformances, currently plays in Italy) led Tortona to an easy victory against the closely-ranked Trieste (0-3) crushing them 88-60 in the Italian Serie A in Sunday night's game. Filloy recorded 12 points and grabbed 4 rebounds. It was the game of the round between two top 4 ranked teams. Derthona Basket Tortona (4-0) is placed first in the Serie A. So far his team won all four games in the Regular Season. But the season is still in its first stage and everything can happen. Filloy's overall stats this season are: 9.7ppg, 3.3rpg and 2.0apg. He has a dual citizenship: Argentinian and Italian.

   #2. Andres Forray (188-PG-1986, currently plays in Italy) contributed to a 3-point Trento's victory against the league leader Varese (3-0) 94-91 in the Italian Serie A in Sunday night's game. Forray scored 9 points in 22 minutes. It was the game of the round between two top 4 ranked teams. Dolomiti Energia Trentinois placed in the Serie A. This year Forray's total stats are: 4.0ppg, 3.5rpg and 1.5apg in four games he played so far. He is another player who holds two passports: Argentinian and Italian.

   #3. Bernardo Musso (193-G-1986, also represented by Interperformances, currently plays in Italy) led Ravenna to a 3-point victory over the 11th-ranked Nardo (1-3) 82-79 in the Italian Serie A2 (second division) on Sunday night. Musso was the top player that evening. He recorded 30 points (!!!), 8 rebounds and 6 assists (made all of his nine free throws !!!) in 36 minutes. Orasi Ravenna (1-3) is placed 13th in Group Red. It was his team's first victory after three consecutive loses. But the season is still in its first stage and everything can happen. Musso has individually a very good year with high stats. He averages: 18.0ppg, 4.3rpg, 4.3apg and 2.0spg in three games. Similarly like Forray and Filloy above Musso has both Argentinian and Italian nationalities.

   #4. Diego Figueredo (185-PG-1991, agency: BIG, currently plays in Brazil) was the major contributor in a Sao Jose's victory against one of league's weakest teams Pato (0-2) 71-61 in the Brazilian NBB in Monday night's game. He recorded 13 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists. Sao Jose dos Camposis placed in the NBB. Figueredo averaged so far 14.5ppg, 5.0rpg and 4.0apg.

   #5. Nicolas Stanic (180-PG-1984, currently plays in Italy) could not help Fabriano in their last game. Despite Stanic's good performance his team was edged 78-75 on the road by the lower-ranked (#3) Faenza in the Group C. He had a triple-double by scoring 14 points, grabbing 10 rebounds and passing 12 assists (made all of his seven free throws) in 38 minutes. Stanic has very impressive stats this year: 16.5ppg, 5.8rpg, 5.8apg and 1.8spg in four games. He also holds two passports: Argentinian and Italian.

   #6. Mario Ghersetti (201-PF-1981, currently plays in Italy) led Ruvo di Puglia to a victory over the second-ranked Avellino 82-69 in the Italian Serie B (third division) on Sunday night. Ghersetti was the top player that evening. He recorded 21 points and grabbed 6 rebounds in 25 minutes. Ghersetti has very impressive stats this year: 15.5ppg, 4.5rpg and 2.0apg in four games. He has Argentinian and Italian nationalities.

   #7. Alejo Maggi (200-F-2001, currently plays in Spain) was not able to help Avila (1-2) in their last game. Despite Maggi's good performance Avila (#10) lost 66-71 on the opponent's court to the lower-ranked (#11) Estrada in the Group A-B. He was the second best scorer with 14 points. Maggi also added 8 rebounds in 37 minutes. This year Maggi's total stats are: 8.0ppg, 7.3rpg and 1.7apg in three games.

   #8. Nicolas Morici (191-G-1994, another player represented by Interperformances, currently plays in Italy) contributed to a 3-point Roseto's victory against the second-ranked Caserta BLE 74-71 in the Italian Serie B (third division) on Sunday night. He had a double-double by scoring 11 points and getting the same number of rebounds. Morici also added 3 assists in 33 minutes. Morici averaged so far 13.0ppg, 6.5rpg and 3.3apg in four games. He has Argentinian and Italian nationalities.

   #9. Enzo Cena (200-F/C-1992, another player represented by Interperformances, currently plays in Italy) contributed to Taranto's surprising victory against the fifth-ranked Sant Antimo 70-56 in the Italian Serie B (third division) on Sunday night. Cena scored 17 points, had 7 rebounds and dished 3 assists in 29 minutes. Cena averaged so far 11.3ppg, 5.0rpg and 2.5apg in four games. He has Argentinian and Italian nationalities.

   #10. Ezequiel Herrera (185-SG-1996, agency: Promo Sport ID, currently plays in Spain) contributed to Navarra's victory against the fourth-ranked Melilla 95-84 in the Spanish LEB Silver (third division) in Saturday night's game.
