Regular Season Round 2: Rio Claro - Sesi Franca 79-93

Very expected game when Rio Claro was defeated at home by Vivo/Franca 93-79 on Saturday. The former international point guard Georginho de Paula (197-1996) had a double-double by scoring 16 points, 12 rebounds and 6 assists to lead the charge for the winners and American guard David Jackson (190-1982, college: Penn St.) chipped in 19 points and 8 rebounds during the contest. Five Vivo/Franca players scored in double figures. American Desmond Holloway (194-1990, college: Coastal, agency: Interperformances) responded with a double-double by scoring 22 points and 10 rebounds and Wesley Alves (198-1996) scored 16 points and 8 rebounds. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Vivo/Franca will meet Minas in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Rio Claro will play against Corinthians in Sao Paulo and hope to win that game.
