Gallizzi comes back to Quimsa

Tayavek Gallizzi
Defending champion Quimsa Santiago del Estero (La Liga) added to their roster 30-year old Argentinian international power forward Tayavek Gallizzi (206cm-1993) for season 2023-24. It is actually his comeback to Santiado del Estero as he has played here before. Gallizzi played this summer at Atenas in Uruguayan Metropolitan. He managed to play in three leagues in two countries last year. In 5 Metropolitan games just recently he recorded 11.6ppg, 8.0rpg, 1.6apg and 1.0bpg. The last season he played at Instituto in Argentinian La Liga where in 46 games he averaged 12.9ppg and 4.8rpg. Gallizzi helped them to win the Supercup and make to league semifinals. A very spectacular season in his career as he was voted Latinbasket.com All-Argentinian La Liga Center of the Year and selected to All-Domestic Players Team and League Player of the Week. He also played 6 games in BCL Americas where he had 11.0ppg, 6.2rpg and 1.3spg. Gallizzi has been also a member of Argentinian international program for some years. He has regularly played for Argentinian senior team since 2014 and previously for U19 National Team in 2011. Gallizzi represented Argentina at the Olympic Games in Tokyo (Japan) two years ago. His stats at that event were 3 games: 0pts. He has played previously for four other Argentinian teams: Quilmes Mar del Plata, La Union, Regatas and Villa Angela. Gallizzi won Argentinian TNA championship title in 2011 and 2012.
