La Union Formosa (La Liga) agreed terms with 21-year old guard Mateo Perez (189cm-2002, agency: BIG) for new 2023-24 season. Perez has played for the last three years at Libertad in the TFB. In 44 La Liga Argentina games he had 7.4ppg, 3.0rpg and 1.7apg last season.
He represented Argentina at the South American Championship U17 in Santiago (Chile) four years ago. His team won Silver but his stats at that event were not that impressive as he did not score anything.
Perez has played previously for Pergamino.
He won Argentinian Torneo Federal (Buenos Aires) championship title in 2021.
