Perez's double-double lands him Player of the Week award

Yosel Perez had a great game in the last round for Comunicaciones Mercedes 2nd team and receives a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 9.
He had a double-double of 16 points and 11 rebounds, while his team beat San Martin (#19, 1-7) 67-54. The game rather meaningless between the teams, which do not have any influence on top of the standings. Comunicaciones is placed at 10th position in Argentinian league. Comunicaciones is a typical solid league team placed somewhere in the middle or a little bit lower in the standings. They need more victories to improve their 4-4 record. In the team's last game Perez had a remarkable 58.3% from 2-point range. It was one of impressive evenings for him as usually he does not deliver so high stats. Yosel Perez averages just after two games 9.5ppg and 9.5rpg.

Second best performed player last round was Ignacio Beltramino (179-PG) of Instituto Atletico Central Cordoba. He is a guard in his 2nd season at Instituto. In the last game Beltramino recorded impressive double-double of 23 points and 10 rebounds. Bad luck as Instituto was edged by the higher-ranked Gimnasia (#1, 9-1) 79-78. It was definitely game of the week between two contenders to the title. Instituto still maintains its place in the top 4 of the standings, even despite this loss. It was just his team's 1st loss this season, while they won 6 other games. Beltramino is well-known at Instituto and he already established his position as one of the team's leaders.

Third place about best performers goes to guard Ramiro Stehli (190-G-2002) of league's leader Gimnasia y Esgrima Comodoro Rivadavia. Stehli scored 24 points and grabbed five rebounds. Despite Stehli's great performance Gimnasia lost 93-100 to the lower-ranked Riachuelo LR (#6, 5-3). But his team cannot count on just a single player as he also needs help of the other teammates. That was shocking loss for Gimnasia and their fans. Hopefully so far almost perfect season will not turn around. They still have impressive 9-1 record in the league holding top position in the standings. Stehli plays for a very strong team and Gimnasia has many quality players. So achieving that high stats is even more impressive. Stehli has a great season in Argentina. After only 8 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in assists with 3.8apg (5th best). He also has 2.8spg and FGP: 50.9%.
