Here is the last round review presented by Job Market.

The most exciting game of round 11 in the LDD took place in Mercedes. This derby game ended with only three-point defeat on the road of second-ranked Obera (9-3) to fifth ranked Comunicaciones (9-4) 68-65 on Sunday evening. Comunicaciones shot 21 for 29 from the free-throw line, while Obera only scored four points from the stripe. They outrebounded Obera 45-32 including 35 on the defensive glass. The best player for the winners was point guard Agustin Passone (180-2003) who scored 15 points and 8 rebounds. Forward Marcos Panozzo (195) chipped in 9 points and 13 rebounds. Power forward Kelvin Ramirez (204-2002) produced 16 points and 8 rebounds for the guests. Comunicaciones have an impressive series of six victories in a row. They moved-up to fourth place, which they share with Boca Jrs. Defending champion Obera keeps the second position with three games lost. They share it with Ferro.
Leader Gimnasia CR delivered the eleventh victory. This time they beat 9th ranked Obras (6-5) 78-70 in Comodoro Rivadavia. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Obras. Dominican swingman Angel Reyes (201-2002) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 30 points and 13 rebounds. Marcos Chacon contributed with 23 points and 9 rebounds for the winners. Power forward Valentino Finetti (204-2005) answered with a double-double by scoring 22 points and 12 rebounds for Obras. The victory was the third consecutive win for Gimnasia CR. They maintain first place with 11-1 record. Obras at the other side keeps the ninth position with five games lost.
Bottom-ranked Olimpico (0-10) tried to put together a comeback for its first victory of the season, but they fell short in the 73-68 loss to seventeenth ranked La Union (4-6) in Formosa on Saturday evening. It was a great evening for Lisandro Bernabei who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 25 points and 12 rebounds. Ignacio Gonzalez responded with 13 points and 8 rebounds. La Union moved-up to thirteenth place. Olimpico lost their tenth game in a row. They still close the standings with ten games lost.

Other games of round 11 were quite predictable and ended without any surprises. Here they are:
Instituto was defeated by Platense in Florida 44-34. San Lorenzo beat Quimsa at home 64-62. Union lost to Comunicaciones on the opponent's court 60-73. Argentino was outscored by Independ.O. in a home game 67-105. Quimsa recorded a loss to Boca Jrs. on the road 74-63. San Martin lost to defending champion Obera on its own court 54-91. Instituto was smashed by Ferro in Buenos Aires 62-81. Platense lost to Independ.O. at home 71-82.




Platense - Instituto 44-34

There was a minor upset in Florida where 8th ranked Instituto (6-3) was defeated by eleventh ranked Platense (5-8) 44-34 on Thursday. It was a great evening for swingman Mariano Goicoechea (195-2004) who led his team to a victory scoring 15 points. Venezuelan point guard Anthoan Urbina (183-2005) helped adding 6 points. Point guard Ignacio Beltramino (179) responded with 9 points and 7 rebounds and guard Fausto Moussa (198-2004) scored 17 points. The victory was the third consecutive win for Platense. Despite that victory Platense went down to twelfth position due to points difference. Instituto lost their third game in a row. They keep the eighth place with three games lost.

There was a small surprise in Almagra where fifteenth ranked San Lorenzo (5-7) edged 13th ranked Quimsa (4-7) 64-62 on Thursday. It was a great evening for Eduardo Santamaria who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 20 points and 12 rebounds. Guard Lucas Latorre (183-2002) helped adding 18 points and 11 rebounds. San Lorenzo's coach Juan Veira used an eleven-player rotation in such tough game. Center Raymon Bastardo (202-2002) responded with 20 points, 9 rebounds and 5 assists (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field) and Facundo Campos (-2005) scored 7 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists. San Lorenzo moved-up to eleventh place. Loser Quimsa dropped to the fourteenth position with seven games lost. They share it with Regatas and Penarol.
