The game in Cordoba was quite interesting. One of their biggest challengers San Lorenzo (10-4) played at the court of fifth ranked Instituto (9-4). Instituto defeated San Lorenzo 66-52 on Friday. Instituto outrebounded San Lorenzo 47-32 including a 15-4 advantage in offensive rebounds. The best player for the winners was American forward Bryan Jefferson (201-1994, college: Mary) who scored 13 points and 7 rebounds. The former international Mauro Cosolito (192-1988) chipped in 16 points and 5 rebounds. Instituto's coach Lucas Victoriano used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. The former international Kevin Hernandez (205-1991) produced 17 points and 6 rebounds for the guests. Instituto have a solid three-game winning streak. They maintain fifth position with 9-4 record. San Lorenzo at the other side keeps the fourth place with four games lost.
Important game to mention about took place in Mar del Plata. Nineteenth ranked Penarol (3-10) saved a 2-point victory at home edging higher ranked Gimnasia (7-8) 87-85 on Saturday evening. It was quite big embarassment for the guest team. Point guard Joaquin Valinotti (185-1998) orchestrated the victory by scoring 21 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists. Al Thornton contributed with 21 points for the winners. American center Vaughn De (205-1988, college: Stillman) replied with 24 points and 8 rebounds for Gimnasia. Gimnasia's coach Martin Villagran rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Penarol moved-up to seventeenth place, which they share with La Union. Gimnasia at the other side keeps the tenth position with eight games lost.
The game with biggest result difference took place in La Banda. Local Olimpico (11-2) beat 15th ranked Ferro (4-9) 92-74 on Saturday night. Nicolas Romano had a double-double by scoring 28 points and 10 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners. Mariano Fierro responded with 15 points and 9 rebounds. Both coaches used bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Olimpico maintains second position with 11-2 record behind leader Quimsa. Ferro lost fourth consecutive game. They keep the fifteenth place with nine games lost.

In the last two games of round 14 Regatas defeated Union in Corrientes 85-73. La Union was beaten by Riachuelo at home 64-73.

American center Gary McGhee (210-1988, college: Pittsburgh) had a double-double by scoring 15 points and 10 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and guard Franco Vieta (194-1992) chipped in 18 points and 6 rebounds during the contest. Point guard Jeremias Sandrini (185-1993) responded with 11 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists and center Ignacio Alessio (203-1987) scored 15 points. Four Union players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Regatas moved-up to sixth place. Loser Union SF stay at the bottom position with 11 games lost.

No shocking result in a game in Formosa where fourteenth ranked Riachuelo (6-7) defeated 17th ranked La Union (3-10) 73-64 on Sunday. Colombian forward Andres Ibarguen (200-1996, college: Angelo St., agency: Helping Ballers) scored 15 points and 6 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and American Anthony Young (200-1989, college: KWC) chipped in 15 points during the contest. DR Congolese forward David Efambe (201-2001) responded with 15 points and 8 rebounds (perfect from the field making all six shots) and point guard Luciano Guerra (184-1997) scored 13 points and 6 rebounds. Both coaches tested many bench players saving starting five for next games. Riachuelo moved-up to thirteenth place. Loser La Union keeps the seventeenth position with ten games lost. They share it with Penarol.
