Here is the last round review presented by Job Market.

The most exciting game of round 19 in the LDD took place in La Rioja. This derby game ended with only one-point home defeat of higher ranked Riachuelo (12-7) to seventeenth ranked Regatas (6-11) 87-86 on Monday evening. It was quite big embarassment for the home team. It was a great evening for forward Francisco Ferraro (196-2004) who led his team to a victory scoring 29 points. Alan Ledesma helped adding 18 points and 8 rebounds. At the losing side Venezuelan forward Keiver Marcano (201-2003) responded with a double-double by scoring 23 points and 12 rebounds (on 10-of-12 shooting from the field). Regatas moved-up to fifteenth place. Riachuelo at the other side dropped to the sixth position with seven games lost. Regatas are looking forward to face Quimsa (#16) in Santiago del Estero in the next round. Riachuelo will have a break next round.
Tenth-ranked Platense (8-10) gave a tough game to seventh ranked Riachuelo (12-7) in La Rioja. Riachuelo managed to secure only two-point victory 86-84. However their fans expected easier game. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Platense. It was an exceptional evening for guard Mateo Corso (185-2003) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 20 points, 10 rebounds, 6 assists and 4 steals. Jeremias Barco accounted for 19 points and 10 rebounds. Santino Mazzucchelli came up with 19 points and 8 rebounds for Platense in the defeat. Riachuelo moved-up to sixth place. Platense at the other side keeps the tenth position with ten games lost. Riachuelo will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Platense will play on the road against Quimsa (#16) in Santiago del Estero and hopes to get back on the winning track.
An interesting game took place in Junin where higher ranked Argentino (7-10) was upset on its own court by eighteenth ranked Zarate (5-12) 68-57 on Monday. Juan Ibarra fired a double-double by scoring 22 points and 11 rebounds for the winners. Franco Capelli produced 14 points and 7 rebounds for lost side. Newly promoted Zarate maintains eighteenth place with 5-12 record. Loser Argentino dropped to the twelfth position with ten games lost. They share it with Union. Zarate will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Argentino will play against Olimpico (#19) in La Banda and hope to secure a win.

There were no shocking results in the rest of the games of round 19: Olimpico was destroyed by San Lorenzo on the opponent's court 77-56. Boca Jrs. outscored Olimpico in a home game 85-59. Obras managed to beat Comunicaciones on the road 86-81.



Argentino - Zarate 57-68

An interesting game took place in Junin where higher ranked Argentino (7-10) was upset on its own court by eighteenth ranked Zarate (5-12) 68-57 on Monday. Zarate outrebounded Argentino 50-31 including a 38-20 advantage in defensive rebounds. Forward Juan Ibarra (197-2004) fired a double-double by scoring 22 points and 11 rebounds for the winners. Jose Ruiz chipped in a double-double by scoring 18 points and 11 rebounds. Franco Capelli produced 14 points and 7 rebounds and Martino Caporaletti added 14 points and 7 rebounds respectively for lost side. Newly promoted Zarate maintains eighteenth place with 5-12 record. San Lorenzo - Olimpico 77-56

Very expected game in Almagra where 19th ranked Olimpico (1-15) was crushed by thirteenth ranked San Lorenzo (8-11) 77-56 on Tuesday. San Lorenzo forced 23 Olimpico turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. Guard Lucas Latorre (183-2002) fired 18 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists for the winners. Eduardo Santamaria chipped in a double-double by scoring 15 points and 10 rebounds. Four San Lorenzo players scored in double figures. San Lorenzo's coach Juan Veira felt very confident that he used entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Francisco Conca produced a double-double by scoring 15 points and 16 rebounds and guard Ignacio Gonzalez (187-2003) added 10 points and 4 assists respectively for lost side. San Lorenzo moved-up to eleventh place. Olimpico lost fifth consecutive game. They keep the nineteenth position with 15 games lost. They share it with San Martin. San Lorenzo will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Olimpico will play against Argentino (#12) and hope to win that game.

Very predictable result in Buenos Aires where second ranked Boca Jrs (14-5) smashed 19th ranked Olimpico (1-15) 85-59 on Sunday. Boca Jrs. forced 32 Olimpico turnovers. Nicolas Stenta (200-2004) fired 23 points and 9 rebounds for the winners. Forward Tiziano Prome (201-2005) chipped in 15 points and 4 assists. Boca Jrs' coach Gonzalo Perez felt very confident that he used 11 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Luciano Tundis produced 16 points and 8 rebounds and Carlos Hurtado added 14 points and 12 rebounds respectively for lost side. Boca Jrs have a solid series of three victories in a row. Boca Jrs. maintains second place with 14-5 record having just one point less than leader Gimnasia. Olimpico lost fifth consecutive game. They keep the nineteenth position with 15 games lost. They share it with San Martin. Boca Jrs. will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. We cannot really consider it an upset in the game between close teams in Mercedes where 8th ranked Comunicaciones (10-7) was defeated by ninth ranked Obras (11-7) 86-81 on Wednesday. Victor Perez (187-2005) fired 25 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists for the winners. Power forward Valentino Finetti (204-2005) chipped in 23 points and 5 rebounds. Yosel Perez produced a double-double by scoring 20 points and 11 rebounds and point guard Agustin Passone (180-2003) added 17 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists respectively for lost side. Four Comunicaciones players scored in double figures. Obras have an impressive series of five victories in a row. They moved-up to eighth place. Loser Comunicaciones dropped to the ninth position with seven games lost. Obras will meet higher ranked Obera (#5) on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Comunicaciones will have a break next round.
