Top ranked Racing (15-12) recorded its twelfth loss in Mar del Plata on Thursday night. Visitors were edged by fourteenth ranked Quilmes MP (8-12) 64-62. It ended at the same time the five-game winning streak of Racing. 25 personal fouls committed by Racing helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. The best player for the winners was Rodrigo Acuna (198-1995) who scored 15 points and 7 rebounds. Forward Tomas Verbauwede (198-1999) chipped in 13 points and 6 rebounds. Power forward Jose Peralta (202-1995) produced 16 points and 7 rebounds for the guests. Quilmes MP moved-up to eleventh place, which they share with Salta Basket. Racing at the other side still keeps top position with 12 games lost. Quilmes MP will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Racing will play on the road against Pico FC and will have a slim chance for a victory.
Important game to mention about took place in . Second ranked Dep Viedma (14-5) saved a 2-point victory on the road edging 5th ranked Pilar (12-9) 92-90 on Wednesday evening. Maximiliano Tabieres (198-1989) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 20 points and 13 rebounds. Lucas Gonzalez contributed with 20 points and 7 rebounds (on 9-of-11 shooting from the field) for the winners. point guard Jonatan Treise (185-1985) answered with 31 points and 6 rebounds for Pilar. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Dep Viedma have a solid series of four victories in a row. They maintain second place with 14-5 record behind leader Suardi. Pilar at the other side keeps the fifth position with nine games lost. Dep Viedma will play against league's leader Racing in Chivilcoy in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Pilar will play at home against the league's leader Racing (#1) and hopes to get back on the winning track.
The game in Catamarca was also quite interesting. Sixth ranked San Isidro (10-5) played at the court of 7th ranked Montmartre (9-7). San Isidro defeated Montmartre 77-63 on Thursday. Manuel Lambrisca stepped up and scored 24 points and 9 rebounds (was perfect 8-for-8 from the free throw line) for the winners. Juan Boffelli responded with 12 points and 5 rebounds. Both coaches tested many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. San Isidro have an impressive series of nine victories in a row. They moved-up to fourth place. Loser Montmartre keeps the seventh position with seven games lost. San Isidro will meet Independiente (#12) in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Montmartre will play against Dep Norte (#5) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.

Other games of round 29 were quite predictable and ended without any surprises. Here they are:
La Union was defeated by Provincial in Rosario 88-70. H.Americano beat GELP at home 76-70. Villa Mitre lost to Racing A. on the opponent's court 74-79. U.Mar del Plata unfortunately lost to Pergamino in a home game 69-77. Barrio Parque recorded a loss to Salta Basket on the road 92-98. Rocamora defeated Provincial on its own court 98-89.



Provincial - La Union 88-70

Everything could happen in Rosario at the game between two tied teams. Both seventh ranked Provincial and 8th ranked La Union had identical 9-9 record. This time Provincial used a home court advantage and beat the opponent from Colon 88-70 on Tuesday night. Provincial shot 61.5 percent from the field. They shot the lights out from three sinking 14 long-distance shots on high 60.9 percentage. Provincial looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. Gaston Gerbaudo stepped up and scored 20 points and 7 rebounds (on 7-of-8 shooting from the field) for the winners and Santiago Lopez Hoyo chipped in 14 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists. Four Provincial players scored in double figures. Provincial's coach Gutavo Lalima used an eleven-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Point guard Facundo Gago (178-1996) responded with 9 points and 9 assists and Lautaro Florito (188-2000) scored 16 points. Provincial have a solid series of three victories in a row. Newly promoted Provincial maintains seventh place with 10-9 record. Loser La Union keeps the eighth position with ten games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.

There was a surprise result in Rio Gallegos where thirteenth ranked H.Americano (8-8) defeated higher ranked GELP (9-11) 76-70 on Tuesday. H.Americano made 16-of-21 free shots (76.2 percent) during the game. H.Americano outrebounded GELP 42-31 including 29 on the defensive glass. Forward Gonzalo Romero (196-1997) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 13 points, 12 rebounds and 5 assists for the winners and the former international power forward Gonzalo Torres (201-1994) chipped in 19 points and 8 rebounds. Five H.Americano players scored in double figures. Power forward Marcos Helman (195-1999) responded with 12 points and 7 rebounds and point guard Alan Moreno (185-1997, agency: BIG) scored 16 points. H.Americano moved-up to eleventh place. Loser GELP keeps the ninth position with 11 games lost.
