The most surprising game was a loss of top-ranked Racing (19-16) in Bahia Blanca on Friday night. Visitors were defeated by sixth ranked Villa Mitre (15-11) 43-36. Worth to mention a great performance of power forward Franco Pennacchiotti (205-1990) who helped to win the game recording 9 points and 6 rebounds. point guard Jano Martinez (180-2003) contributed with 5 points and 5 assists for the winners. point guard Miguel De (176-1997, agency: BIG) answered with 12 points for Racing. Villa Mitre moved-up to fifth place. Racing at the other side still keeps top position with 16 games lost. Villa Mitre will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Racing will play at home against Rocamora and is hoping to win this game.

GEPU will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Suardi will play on the road against Echague in Parana and hopes to get back on the winning track.

Norberto Stucky nailed 16 points and 5 rebounds for the winning side. Maximiliano Tabieres came up with 13 points and 6 rebounds for Dep Viedma in the defeat. Racing maintains first place with 19-16 record. Loser Dep Viedma keeps the third position with nine games lost. Racing will meet at home Rocamora (#16) in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Dep Viedma will have a break next round.

Other games in round 37 were not that significant. Provincial beat Pilar on the road 79-75. San Isidro won against Rivadavia on its own court 80-74. Independiente was outscored by Barrio Parque in Cordoba 95-71. Atenas rolled over Montmartre at home 101-69. Amancay was defeated by Villa S.Martin on the opponent's court 87-85. Lanus beat Provincial in a home game 76-69. Ciclista won against U.Mar del Plata on the road 82-73. San Isidro managed to outperform GEPU on its own court 60-56.



Pilar - Provincial 75-79

No shocking result in a game when fifth ranked Provincial (14-12) beat on the road 8th ranked Pilar (12-13) 79-75 on Wednesday. Point guard Franco Borsellino (185) nailed 9 points and 9 assists for the winning side and forward Federico Perez (193-1990) accounted for 18 points. American center Dishon Lowery (200-1998, college: OKBU) came up with a double-double by scoring 17 points and 13 rebounds and point guard Bruno Conti (182-2000) added 12 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists respectively for Pilar in the defeat. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Provincial have a solid series of four victories in a row. Despite that victory Provincial went down to sixth position due to points difference. Pilar lost fifth consecutive game. They keep the eighth place with 13 games lost. They share the position with Quilmes MP. Provincial will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Pilar will play against La Union (#7) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
