Mare's double-double lands him La Liga Argentina Player of the Week award

Lautaro Mare

25-year old forward Lautaro Mare (196-F-1998) had a very impressive game in the last round for Deportivo Norte de Armstrong and receives a Hoops Agents La Liga Argentina Player of the Week award for round 45.
He had a double-double of 27 points and 11 rebounds, while his team edged out Barrio Parque (#10, 12-15) 78-76. Dep Norte maintains the 6th position in their group in the Argentinian La Liga Argentina. They would have been even better if they hadn't lost a few games earlier this season. Dep Norte will need more victories to improve their 15-12 record. In the team's last game Mare had a remarkable 60.0% from 2-point range. He turned to be Dep Norte's top player in his first season with the team. Mare has impressive league stats. He is in league's top in rebounds (6th best: 8.4rpg) and averages solid 52.6% FGP.

Second best performed player last round was Maximiliano Tabieres (198-PF-1989) of Deportivo Viedma Rio Negro. He is a forward in his 8th season at Dep Viedma. In the last game Tabieres recorded an impressive double-double of 27 points and 13 rebounds. Bad luck as Dep Viedma lost that game 87-96 to the higher-ranked Pico FC (#2, 19-8). This loss caused Dep Viedma to drop to 5th position in Conferencia Sur. His team lost some distance to top teams. But a 17-13 record is not bad and everything may still change. Tabieres is one of the most experienced players at Dep Viedma and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players.

Third place about best performers goes to Felipe Bonfigli of league's second-best Pico Football Club de General Pico. Bonfigli scored 21 points and grabbed 11 rebounds (!!!). He was a key player of Pico FC, leading his team to a 96-87 win against the lower-ranked Dep Viedma (#5, 17-13). Pico FC needs these victories very badly if they think about taking over top position in Conferencia Sur. Their record at this point is 19 victories and 8 lost games. Bonfigli has a very solid season. In 27 games in Argentina he scored 11.2ppg. He also has 7.8rpg, 1.5bpg and a FGP of 66.1%.
