The Regular Season in LDD is slowly approaching the end. But there may be still some important changes in the final standings in the last 7 rounds. Here is the last round review presented by Job Market.
The most exciting game of round 32 in the LDD took place in Buenos Aires. This derby game ended with only two-point home defeat of one of their biggest challengers Obras (19-8) to fifth ranked Independ.O. (19-9) 70-68 on Friday evening. It ended at the same time the 13-game winning streak of Obras. The best player for the winners was point guard Jorge Garcia (180) who scored 23 points and 9 rebounds. Esteban Caffaro (200-2003) chipped in 15 points and 5 rebounds. point guard Juan Respaud (190-2005) produced 21 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists for the hosts. Obras' coach Javier Ielmini tried various players' combinations and tested in total eleven players in this game, but that didn't help. Independ.O. have a solid three-game winning streak. They maintain fifth position with 19-9 record. Obras at the other side keeps the fourth place with eight games lost. Independ.O. are looking forward to face league's leader Gimnasia in Comodoro Rivadavia in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Obras will have a break next round.
We should mention about the upset which took place in Corrientes, where higher ranked Argentino (11-18) lost to nineteenth ranked San Martin (4-23) in a road game 48-64. Valentin Ojeda orchestrated the victory by scoring 13 points and 8 rebounds. Lorenzo Benay contributed with 14 points and 6 rebounds for the winners. San Martin's coach Diego Blanco allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. Guard Augusto Gennero (188-2003) replied with 6 points and 15 rebounds for Argentino. San Martin maintains nineteenth position with 4-23 record. Argentino at the other side keeps the fourteenth place with 18 games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
