The most important game in the last round took place in Obera between third ranked Olimpico (23-11) and tenth ranked Obera (18-16) on Tuesday night. Olimpico was defeated by Obera on the road 85-74. Even 22 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists by Agustin Brocal (191-1997) did not help to save the game for Zarate. Quimsa have an impressive five-game winning streak. Defending champion maintains first position with 28-5 record. Newly promoted Zarate keeps the fourteenth place with 21 games lost. They share the position with Ferro.

Argentino moved-up to eighteenth place. Loser San Lorenzo keeps the fourth position with 12 games lost.

There were no shocking results in the other games in round 40: Independ.O. lost to La Union on the opponent's court 79-94. Comunicaciones was outscored by Olimpico in a home game 74-110. Penarol recorded a loss to Boca on the road 87-83. Gimnasia defeated Regatas on its own court 79-63. Riachuelo was beaten by Argentino in Junin 75-71. Gimnasia lost to Penarol at home 79-86.
The most impressive stats of the last round was 20 points and 8 rebounds by Vaughn De of Gimnasia.
