Givova Scafati Basket (Serie A) agreed terms with experienced 53-year-old double-passport holder Argentinian coach Marcelo Nicola. He has coached for the last two seasons at Nutribullet Treviso Basket.
He has coached professionally in Argentina, Greece, Israel (Hapoel Jerusalem), Lithuania (Rytas), Spain (Murcia and Gipuzkoa), Ukraine, and Germany (Brose Bamberg).
His team won the German Bundesliga Cup in 2019.
