There were only 2 rounds played so far and it's still very beginning of the Regular Season in La Liga Argentina. Here is the last round review presented by Job Market.

The biggest surprise of round 2 in La Liga Argentina took place in Centenario where host Centenario N. crushed Barrio Parque 79-52 on Thursday evening. Centenario N. outrebounded Barrio Parque 42-31 including a 34-21 advantage in defensive rebounds. Centenario N. looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists comparing to just 11 passes made by Barrio Parque's players. The best player for the winners was point guard Federico De Miguel (176-1997, agency: BIG) who scored 18 points and 7 rebounds. Power forward Nicolas Gimenez (203-1994, agency: BIG) chipped in 16 points and 7 rebounds. Guard Benjamin Herrera (190-1999) produced 7 points and 10 rebounds for the guests. Barrio Parque's coach Nicolas Arduh gave up on the game allowing to play eleven players seeing no chance for a win. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
Dep Norte recorded a loss in Armstrong. Hosts were defeated by Barrio Parque 86-78. Luciano Garcia orchestrated the victory by scoring 18 points. Benjamin Herrera contributed with 19 points and 4 assists for the winners. Barrio Parque's coach Nicolas Arduh allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. Power forward Juan Abeiro (200-1988) replied with 27 points and 6 rebounds for Dep Norte. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
An interesting game where Racing A. edged by two points Pilar 83-81 on Thursday night. Pilar was very close to get their first win. But it seems they have to wait a little bit longer. Gonzalo Torres had a double-double by scoring 21 points and 16 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners. Racing A.'s coach Fernando Rosanova used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. Ignacio Varisco responded with a double-double by scoring 15 points and 11 rebounds. Racing A.'s supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from Buenos Aires El Talar.

Rest of the games of round 2 were quite predictable and ended without any surprises. Here they are:
El Talar lost to H.Americano in Rio Gallegos 77-87. Suardi beat Provincial at home 71-67. Villa S.Martin lost to Amancay on the opponent's court 63-75. Quilmes managed to outperform Dep Viedma in a home game 74-70.




Dep Norte - Barrio Parque 78-86

Dep Norte recorded a loss in Armstrong. Hosts were defeated by Barrio Parque 86-78. Barrio Parque dominated down low during the game scoring 56 of its points in the paint compared to Dep Norte's 34. Luciano Garcia orchestrated the victory by scoring 18 points. Guard Benjamin Herrera (190-1999) contributed with 19 points and 4 assists for the winners. Barrio Parque's coach Nicolas Arduh allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. Power forward Juan Abeiro (200-1988) replied with 27 points and 6 rebounds and point guard Franco Borsellino (185-1987) added 8 points, 7 rebounds and 11 assists in the effort for Dep Norte. H.Americano used a home court advantage and beat the opponent from Buenos Aires 87-77 on Wednesday night. Brazilian center Romulo Gusmao (208-1995) had a double-double by scoring 19 points and 18 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and point guard Lucas Machuca (185-1992) chipped in 19 points during the contest. Juan Bellozas (195-1993) responded with a double-double by scoring 12 points and 11 rebounds and guard Ramiro Stehli (190-2002) scored 16 points. Five H.Americano and four El Talar players scored in double figures. El Talar's coach Leandro Genovese rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. H.Americano will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Suardi used a home court advantage and defeated the opponent from Rosario 71-67 on Wednesday night. Point guard Gaston Fino (179-2002) scored 20 points and 6 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and guard Nahuel Fino (188-2000) chipped in 12 points and 5 rebounds during the contest. The former international swingman Adrian Boccia (195-1982) responded with 18 points and Chilean guard Francisco Torres (170-1993) scored 11 points and 5 rebounds. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Suardi will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Provincial will play against San Isidro in San Francisco and hope to win that game.
