Juan Respaud claims Argentinian LDD weekly honour

Talented Argentinian Juan Respaud (190-PG-2005) put on an extraordinary performance in the last round for Obras Basket Buenos Aires and that's him to receive a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 3.
The 19-year old playmaker had the game-high 28 points adding seven rebounds and seven assists for Obras in his team's victory, helping them to beat Ferro (#13, 1-2) 84-75. Obras is placed at 3rd position in Argentinian LDD. They would have been even better if they hadn't lost that single game earlier this season. Obras will need more victories to improve their 3-1 record. In the team's last game Respaud had a remarkable six three-pointers out of 14 attempts. He has many years of experience at Obras, through which he has constantly improved. Respaud has impressive league stats. He is in league's top in points (4th best: 18.7ppg).

The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was Fidel Cifuentes of Boca Juniors Buenos Aires. Cifuentes impressed basketball fans with 28 points and 9 rebounds. Of course he led Boca to another comfortable win 92-79 over Olimpico (0-4) being unquestionably team leader. The season is still at the very beginning and this victory may help a lot. Let's wait for the next round. Cifuentes is a newcomer at Boca and it seems he did not have too much trouble to become one of team's leaders. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 19.2ppg (#3). He also registered 12.0 boards per game.

The third best performed player last round was Jose Ruiz of Zarate Basket Independiente (#11). Ruiz scored 16 points and grabbed 17 rebounds (!!!). Despite Ruiz's great performance the Zarate lost 75-78 to Independ.O. (#1, 4-0). But his team cannot count on just a single player as he also needs help of the other teammates. The last thing Zarate needs is to lose another game like this one. They lose more and more distance to the top teams. Their record is 1 victory and 1 lost game. Ruiz has a very solid season. In 2 games in Argentina he scored 10.0ppg.
