The game had a very big importance for second-ranked Lanus as it allowed them to take a leadership position. Lanus defeated 5th ranked H.Americano in Buenos Aires 78-67. A very close game took place in Junin between Quilmes and Ciclista. Fourth ranked Quilmes (2-1) got a very close victory on the road over 3rd placed Ciclista (2-3). Quilmes managed to escape with a 3-point win 78-75 on Sunday evening. Strangely Ciclista outrebounded Quilmes 39-27 including 24 on the defensive glass. It was a great shooting night for Quilmes especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 52.4 percentage. It was a great evening for forward Tomas Verbauwede (198-1999) who led his team to a victory scoring 18 points and 7 rebounds (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field). The former international Juan De La Fuente (195-2000) helped adding 19 points. Comunicaciones dominated down low during the game scoring 68 of its points in the paint compared to Estudiantes T.'s 36 and made 17-of-20 free shots (85.0 percent) during the game.
