First defeat of Chanares (2-1) against Gorriones (3-1) 69-55 was the most important game of the last round. Gorriones made 20-of-26 free shots (76.9 percent) during the game. They also forced 29 Chanares turnovers. 24 personal fouls committed by Chanares helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. It was a good game for Lucia Pispieiro who led her team to a victory with 20 points. Swingman Candela Ruffino (184-1994) contributed with 11 points and 10 rebounds for the winners. Macarena Galindez answered with 12 points and 9 rebounds for Chanares. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Chanares will play next round against strong Quimsa trying to make it back to the top of the standings. Gorriones will try to continue on its current victory against Quimsa in Santiado del Estero.
Ferro smashed Union Florida in Buenos Aires 72-50. It was a great evening for guard Candela Foresto (163-1999) who led her team to a victory scoring 14 points, 8 rebounds and 6 assists. Stefania Lucero helped adding 13 points and 4 steals. The best for the losing side was the former international forward Carla Miculka (174-1993) with 18 points and 6 rebounds. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Union Florida will play next round against Rocamora trying to get back on the winning streak. Ferro will try to continue on its current victory against Berazategui. It will be extra interesting game as Berazategui is their local rival from Buenos Aires.

It was an exceptional evening for Joaquina Gregorio who led the winners and scored 19 points and 7 rebounds. Julieta Tell came up with a double-double by scoring 19 points and 10 rebounds for Riachuelo in the defeat. Both coaches tested many bench players in such tough game. Instituto will meet Montmartre (#6) in the next round. Riachuelo will have a break next round.
There were no big surprises in other games of round 3: winless Lanus was beaten by Berazategui on the road 71-69. Obras destroyed Rocamora on its own court 89-68. Union Florida managed to outperform Obras in a road game 57-55. Winless Avellaneda recorded a loss to Berazategui at home 45-62. El Talar lost to undefeated Ferro on the opponent's court 74-90. Rocamora was beaten by Berazategui in a home game 70-76.
The most impressive performance of 3rd round was 34 points (!!!), 5 rebounds and 4 assists by Sofia Acevedo of Berazategui.
