There was a surprise result whenUnion Florida (2-2) edged Obras (5-1) in Buenos Aires 57-55 on Thursday. Union Florida forced 27 Obras turnovers. It was an exceptional evening for the former international forward Carla Miculka (174-1993) who led the winners and scored 20 points and 8 rebounds. Sol Depetris (171-2007) accounted for 11 points for the winning side. International Candela Gentinetta (181-2001) came up with a double-double by scoring 17 points and 20 rebounds and Chilean point guard Javiera Campos (163-2002) added 13 points respectively for Obras in the defeat. Both coaches allowed to play bench players in such tough game. Union Florida will meet at home Rocamora (#6) in the next round. Obras will play against Lanus (#8) and hope to secure a win.
