Here is the last round review presented by Job Market.

An interesting game for Regatas (24-5) which played road game in Santa Fe against 3rd placed Union (21-12). Second ranked Regatas managed to get a 6-point victory 87-81. Regatas looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of power forward Ignacio Ortega (205-2004) who helped to win the game recording 19 points and 6 rebounds (perfect from the field making all nine shots !!!). Juan Larraza contributed with 10 points, 9 rebounds and 7 assists for the winners. Agustin Ferrari (-2005) answered with 29 points (on 11-of-14 shooting from the field) for Union. Regatas have an impressive series of six victories in a row. They maintain second place with 24-5 record having just one point less than leader Independ.O. Union at the other side dropped to the fourth position with 12 games lost.
Important game to mention about took place in Formosa. Tenth ranked La Union (13-12) saved a 1-point victory at home edging 8th ranked Ferro (16-11) 71-70 on Saturday evening. Thiago Gronda stepped up and scored 20 points and 6 rebounds for the winners and Augusto Moresco chipped in 15 points and 10 rebounds. At the losing side guard Camilo Rodriguez (187-2006) responded with 16 points and 5 rebounds. La Union maintains tenth place with 13-12 record. Ferro lost their third game in a row. They keep the eighth position with 11 games lost.
A very close game took place in Corrientes between San Martin and Ferro. Sixteenth ranked San Martin (8-20) got a very close home victory over higher ranked Ferro (16-11). San Martin managed to escape with a 1-point win 73-72 on Monday evening. It was quite big embarassment for the guest team. Mateo Rearte nailed 21 points and 5 assists for the winning side. San Martin's coach Diego Blanco used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. Augusto Roveres came up with a double-double by scoring 25 points and 10 rebounds for Ferro in the defeat. San Martin maintains sixteenth place with 8-20 record. Ferro lost their third game in a row. They keep the eighth position with 11 games lost.

Other games in round 37 were not that significant. Zarate was smashed by Obera on the road 108-85. Platense destroyed Quimsa on its own court 95-49. Riachuelo unfortunately lost to Argentino in Junin 94-96. Obras rolled over Atenas at home 96-67.
The most impressive performance of 37th round was 19 points and 6 rebounds by Valentino Finetti of Obras.



Obera - Zarate 108-85

No shocking result in a game when seventh ranked Obera (19-8) crushed at home 17th ranked Zarate (6-19) 108-85 on Saturday. Obera dominated down low during the game scoring 68 of its points in the paint compared to Zarate's 38. They outrebounded Zarate 54-21 including a 39-16 advantage in defensive rebounds. Colombian point guard Edwin Niebles (178-2005) nailed a double-double by scoring 14 points and 12 rebounds for the winning side and Spanish forward Tobias Reizner (203, college: Truman St.) accounted for 19 points and 7 rebounds (on 6-of-7 shooting from the field). Obera's coach Lucas Gornatti felt very confident that he used 11 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Tomas Delia came up with a double-double by scoring 22 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists and Gino Sciamanna added 17 points respectively for Zarate in the defeat. Five Obera and four Zarate players scored in double figures. The victory was the fifth consecutive win for Obera. They moved-up to sixth place. Loser Zarate keeps the seventeenth position with 19 games lost.

Platense - Quimsa 95-49

Very expected game when 18th ranked Quimsa (5-24) was smashed by sixth ranked Platense (20-10) in Florida 95-49 on Sunday. Platense dominated down low during the game scoring 56 of its points in the paint compared to Quimsa's 28. They outrebounded Quimsa 53-39 including 16 on the offensive glass. Platense looked well-organized offensively handing out 27 assists comparing to just 4 passes made by Quimsa's players. Swingman Mariano Goicoechea (195-2004) nailed 25 points, 5 assists and 6 steals for the winning side and forward Santino Mazzucchelli (196-2004) accounted for 15 points and 9 rebounds. Platense's coach Alejandro Perez felt very confident that he used 11 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Guard Matias Pikaluk (188-2006) came up with a double-double by scoring 20 points and 14 rebounds and Sebastian Castillo added 6 points and 11 rebounds respectively for Quimsa in the defeat. Platense moved-up to fifth place. Quimsa lost their eighteenth game in a row. They keep the eighteenth position with 24 games lost.

There was a surprise result when thirteenth ranked Argentino (12-15) edged higher ranked Riachuelo (18-7) in Junin 96-94 on Sunday. Strangely Riachuelo outrebounded Argentino 48-33 including 33 on the defensive glass. Point guard Santiago Capelli (180-2005) nailed 20 points, 9 rebounds, 5 assists and 4 steals for the winning side and Francisco Suarez accounted for 24 points and 6 steals. Federico Bustos came up with 19 points and 6 rebounds and guard Jeremias Barco (-2005) added 12 points and 9 rebounds respectively for Riachuelo in the defeat. Both teams had five players each who scored in double figures. Argentino moved-up to eleventh place, which they share with Penarol. Loser Riachuelo LR keeps the seventh position with seven games lost.

Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Obras made 11 blocks. Obras' coach Javier Ielmini felt very confident that he used entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Tiago Tomatis came up with a double-double by scoring 23 points, 12 rebounds and 4 assists and Facundo Valfre added 16 points and 9 rebounds respectively for Atenas in the defeat. The victory was the fourth consecutive win for Obras. They moved-up to third place. Atenas lost their twenty first game in a row. They stay dead last with 26 lost games.
