Porta faces a new challenge

The Sunchalese´s coach Sebastian Porta has consolidated an ascending career in the benches of the Liga Argentina, standing out recently for a successful campaign with Club Atletico San Isidro de San Francisco and having previously commanded Libertad de Sunchales. His career as technical director is preceded by a long career as a player in the Liga Nacional and the Liga Argentina.Successful stage in Club Atletico San Isidro (2024-present)Porta took over as coach of Club Atletico San Isidro in May 2024, and in his first season (2024/25) he achieved an immediate and noticeable impact. Under his leadership, the San Francisco team was crowned champion of the Liga Argentina Opening Tournament, an achievement that secured him a place in the grand final for promotion to the Liga Nacional.In that decisive instance, Club Atletico San Isidro competed against Racing de Chivilcoy, remaining as runner-up in a close series. Throughout that season, the Porta team showed a great level of play, accumulating a record of 30 wins in 48 games, representing an ERA of 63%.Experience at the Libertad de Sunchales (2021-2023) Prior to his arrival in Club Atletico San Isidro, Sebastián Porta had the responsibility of being the main coach of Libertad de Sunchales, the club of his hometown and where he also had an outstanding career as a player. He took office for the 2021/22 season, in what was his first experience as head coach in the category, and remained in the post for two seasons, until the end of the 2022/23 campaign.

Before taking the main role, Porta was already part of the coaching staff of "Los Tigres", where he served as an assistant for five seasons, drawing on experience in the second category.

Other Experiences Between his passage for Libertad and his arrival in Club Atletico San Isidro, Porta had a brief period as technical assistant in Mercedes Communications in the Liga Nacional. In addition, he added an international experience by directing Pirates de los Lagos in Ecuador.
