Argentinian Point guard Juan Respaud (190-PG-2005) put on an amazing game in the last round for second-ranked Obras Basket Buenos Aires, receiving a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 7.
The 20-year old player was the main contributor (21 points, five rebounds and seven assists) to his team's victory, helping them to outclass Boca Jrs. (#10, 3-4) with 31-point margin 90-59. Obras maintains the 2nd position in Argentinian LDD. They maintain a perfect record without any lost game in the league. The season is still on an early stage, but Obras already had a very good start winning all 6 without losing a single one. In the team's last game Respaud had a remarkable three three-pointers out of 6 attempts. He has many years of experience at Obras, through which he has constantly improved. Juan Respaud has solid league stats. He is in league's top in assists (6th best: 4.5apg) and averages impressive 2.2spg and 63.3% FGP.

The second best player in last round's games was Valentino Nesci) of San Lorenzo de Almagro. Nesci had a very good evening with a double-double of 18 points and 16 rebounds. It was enough for San Lorenzo to edge the lower-ranked Atenas (#18, 1-7) 77-72. This victory allowed San Lorenzo to move up to 4th position in the standings. His team's 5-2 record is not bad at all. Nesci is one of the most experienced players at San Lorenzo and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players.

Third on the list of top players last round was Ecuadorian forward Carlos Hurtado (212-F-2006) of Independiente de Oliva (#14). Hurtado scored 19 points and grabbed 12 rebounds (!!!). He was a key player of Independ.O., leading his team to a 87-72 easy win against the higher-ranked Gimnasia (#6, 3-2). The chances of Independ.O. not to end season at such low position in the league, however are less than slim as they have already lost 2 games, recording just one victory. With bigger assistance of his teammates, Hurtado could try to bring Independ.O.'s a little bit higher in the standings. Hurtado has a very solid season. In 3 games in Argentina he scored 18.3ppg.
