Argentinian LDB round 13 best performance: Jerson Caicedo

Colombian Forward Jerson Caicedo (204-F-2004) put on an extraordinary performance in the last round for top-ranked Instituto Atletico Central Cordoba, receiving a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 13.
The 21-year old player had a double-double of 23 points and 11 rebounds, while his team edged out Ferro (#9, 5-4) 58-55. It allowed Instituto to consolidate first place in the Argentinian LDB. Instituto have a solid 10-2 record. Caicedo turned to be Instituto's top player in his first season with the team. Jerson Caicedo averages this season 15.3ppg and 6.8rpg.

The second best player in last round's games was young Colombian Edwin Niebles (178-PG-2005) of Obera Tennis Club. Niebles had a very good evening with a double-double of 16 points and 14 rebounds. Of course he led Obera to another comfortable win outscoring the lower-ranked Olimpico (#19, 1-9) 90-50. The game was between two teams which are definitely not main contenders for the title. But Obera managed to improve slightly their position in standings taking 12th place. His team is not often considered as one of the league's best with a mere 3-6 record. Niebles is one of the most experienced players at Obera and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players.

Third on the list of top players last round was Argentinian Tomas Delia) of Racing de Chivilcoy (#11). Delia scored 20 points and grabbed 7 rebounds. Despite Delia's great performance the Racing Ch. lost 78-82 to the higher-ranked Gimnasia (#5, 7-3). But his team cannot count on just a single player as he also needs help of the other teammates. Delia has a great season in Argentina. After only 9 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in rebounds with 8.9rpg (6th best).

8. Franco Gimenez (190) of La Union - 17 points, 11 rebounds and 2 assists
9. Augusto Moresco) of La Union - 16 points and 14 rebounds
10. Jesus Centeno (205-C-2006) of Gimnasia - 18 points and 13 rebounds

The Player of the week is selected based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc.
