Here is the last round review presented by Job Market.

The biggest surprise took place in Galvez where host Santa Paula (7-3) beat league's leader San Isidro (7-3) 86-75 on Monday evening. It was a key game for the second position in the league. The best player for the winners was who scored 12 points, 7 rebounds and 6 assists. chipped in 11 points and 11 rebounds. Santa Paula's coach used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. At the other side the best for losing team was forward Lautaro Mare (196-1998, agency: BIG) who recorded 17 points and 9 rebounds. Santa Paula have a solid four-game winning streak. They moved-up to second place, which they share with defeated San Isidro. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
The game had a very big importance for second-ranked Quilmes as it allowed them to take a leadership position. Quilmes defeated 12th ranked El Talar in Mar del Plata 90-75. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of El Talar. It was a good game for American forward Darry Moore (201-2001, college: ETBU) who led his team to a victory with 20 points and 7 rebounds. Pablo Alderete contributed with 13 points and 6 assists for the winners. Guard Matias Cueva (185-1997) replied with 16 points for El Talar. Both coaches used bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. As mentioned above they took over a top position. El Talar at the other side keeps the twelfth place with three games lost. El Talar will play next round against U.Mar del Plata trying to get back on the winning streak. Quilmes will try to continue on its current victory against seventeenth ranked Dep Norte at Armstrong.
Seventeenth-ranked Colon (2-7) made lots of trouble for fourth ranked Salta Basket (7-2) on Tuesday. Salta Basket managed to secure only three-point victory 77-74. However their fans expected much easier game. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Colon SF. Chance Hunter scored 12 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists to lead the charge for the winners. The best for the losing side was Hans Feder with a double-double by scoring 15 points and 10 rebounds. Salta Basket have a solid four-game winning streak. They keep a position of league leader, which they share with Provincial. Loser Colon SF keeps the seventeenth place with seven games lost. They share the position with Dep Norte. Salta Basket will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Colon will play against Jujuy (#11) and hope to secure a win.

Rest of the games of round 18 were quite predictable and ended without any surprises. Here they are:
C.Entrerriano was defeated by Centenario VT in a road game 90-74. Dep Norte was smashed by Lanus at home 82-101. Racing A. won against Ciclista on the opponent's court 84-79. Amancay managed to outperform Barrio Parque in a home game 81-67. Suardi was rolled over Independiente on the road 105-79. Villa Mitre defeated Pico FC on its own court 76-73.



Centenario VT - C.Entrerriano 90-74

There was no surprise when 7th ranked C.Entrerriano (5-5) was defeated on the road by fourth ranked Centenario VT (5-2) 90-74 on Monday. Centenario VT looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists comparing to just 7 passes made by C.Entrerriano's players. Manuel Gomez scored 15 points and 9 assists to lead the charge for the winners and forward Lucio Castellani (196-1994) chipped in 13 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists during the contest. Five Centenario VT players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was American forward Darry Moore (201-2001, college: ETBU) with 10 points and forward Aquiles Montani (190-1994) scored 9 points. C.Entrerriano's coach rotated ten players seeing no chance for a win. Centenario VT have an impressive five-game winning streak. They maintain fourth position with 5-2 record. Loser C.Entrerriano dropped to the eighth place with five games lost. They share the position with Racing A.. Centenario VT will meet Rocamora (#16) on the road in the next round which should be an easy win for them. C.Entrerriano will play against Pergamino (#14) and hope to secure a win.

No shocking result in a game in Armstrong where eighth ranked Lanus (5-4) smashed 16th ranked Dep Norte (2-7) 101-82 on Monday. American swingman Michael Henry (198-1995, college: Buffalo St.) scored 28 points and 5 rebounds (on 11-of-12 shooting from the field) to lead the charge for the winners and forward Martin Franchino (201-1993) chipped in 19 points and 11 rebounds during the contest. Four Lanus players scored in double figures. Lanus' coach allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. The best for the losing side was point guard Manuel Alonso (195-1999, agency: BIG) with 25 points and forward Gianmarco Reale (190-2003, agency: BIG) scored 23 points and 5 rebounds. Lanus moved-up to seventh place, which they share with Suardi. Dep Norte lost fifth consecutive game. They dropped to the seventeenth position with seven games lost. They share it with Colon. Lanus will meet league's second-placed Provincial in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. Dep Norte will play against the league's leader Quilmes (#1) where they are definitely not considered as a favorite in this game either.
