The most surprising game was a loss of top-ranked Instituto (16-5) in Chivilcoy on Tuesday night. Visitors were edged by eleventh ranked Racing Ch. (7-8) 80-77. Racing Ch. made 28-of-35 free shots (80.0 percent) during the game. They also forced 20 Instituto turnovers. 28 personal fouls committed by Instituto helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. scored 27 points (made all of his nine free throws !!!) to lead the charge for the winners and chipped in 12 points and 14 rebounds during the contest. At the losing side Lucca Giuliani responded with a double-double by scoring 14 points and 11 rebounds. Racing Ch. maintains eleventh position with 7-8 record. Instituto at the other side still keeps top place with five games lost. Racing Ch. are looking forward to face San Martin (#16) in Corrientes in the next round where they are favorite. This time they beat thirteenth ranked Argentino (6-11) in Junin 88-78. notched 13 points and 6 rebounds to lead the effort and Lucas Andersson supported him with 15 points. Even 16 points and 6 rebounds by Martino Caporaletti did not help to save the game for Argentino. Argentino's coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Instituto maintains first position with 16-5 record. Argentino lost third consecutive game. They dropped to the fourteenth place with 11 games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.

Forward Santino Mazzucchelli (196-2004) fired 19 points, 7 rebounds, 4 assists and 5 steals for the winners. Giovanni Pappalardi chipped in 10 points and 9 rebounds. Platense's coach Martin De Zan felt very confident that he used entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Venezuelan center Jesus Centeno (205-2006) produced a double-double by scoring 19 points and 13 rebounds and point guard Jose Copesky (184-2006) added 16 points and 5 rebounds respectively for lost side.
