LaLiga Femenina Round 2 of Regular Season

There were only 2 rounds played so far and it's still very beginning of the Regular Season in LaLiga Femenina. Here is the last round review presented by LBM Management.

First defeat of league's leader Ferro against Berazategui 69-67 was the most important game of the last round. Point guard Sofia Acevedo (167-2001) orchestrated the victory by scoring 19 points and 4 assists. Luz Andujar (173-2005) contributed with 11 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists for the winners. Dalma Piri (175-2001) replied with 18 points and 7 rebounds for Ferro. Ferro's coach Gabriel Fernandez rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Ferro will have a break next week, which should allow them to rest. Berazategui will try to continue on its current victory against Rocamora in Concepcion de Urug..
Riachuelo recorded a loss on the court of San Jose. Visitors were rolled over by San Jose 74-55. Uruguayan guard Carolina Fernandez (186-2003) scored 16 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists to lead the charge for the winners and Romina Moreira chipped in 13 points and 10 rebounds during the contest. San Jose's coach Cristian Santander used entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Camila Borgogno responded with 14 points and 9 rebounds. San Jose will play against Quimsa in Santiado del Estero in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Riachuelo will have a break next round.
An interesting game was also a 22-point tough home loss of Lanus in a game versus undefeated Obras 79-57. Agostina Burani notched a double-double by scoring 15 points and 11 rebounds to lead the effort. Even 18 points and 5 rebounds by Berenice Lopez did not help to save the game for Lanus. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.

There were no big surprises in other games of round 2: El Talar beat Rocamora on the road 73-68. Winless Bochas lost to undefeated Instituto on its own court 74-91. Winless Union Florida lost to undefeated Independiente in Neuquen 54-61.
The most impressive performance of 2nd round was 14 points and 8 rebounds by Martina Torres of Independiente.

No shocking result in a game when El Talar beat Rocamora in Concepcion de Urug. 73-68 on Tuesday. Luna Cao notched a double-double by scoring 16 points, 20 rebounds and 5 blocks to lead the effort and the former international Agustina Marin (170-2003) supported her with 21 points and 5 rebounds. Four El Talar players scored in double figures. Even 18 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists by guard Paula Santini (165-2006) did not help to save the game for Rocamora. Power forward Nerea Schmidt (174-1995) added 17 points and 8 rebounds for the hosts. El Talar will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Rocamora will play against Berazategui and hope to win that game.

Very expected game when Bochas lost at home to Instituto 91-74 on Tuesday. Instituto forced 25 Bochas turnovers. The former international power forward Giselle Botta (180-1999) notched 16 points and 7 rebounds to lead the effort and point guard Julieta Sienra (161-2003) supported her with 15 points and 4 assists. Even 13 points and 9 rebounds by power forward Delfina Alves (186-2008) did not help to save the game for Bochas. Renata Niveyro added 22 points for the hosts. Four Instituto and five Bochas players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Instituto will meet at home Avellaneda in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Bochas will have a break next round.

Even 13 points and 4 steals by guard Natalia Tondi (170-2003, college: VCU) did not help to save the game for Union Florida. Sol Depetris (171-2007) added 7 points and 7 rebounds for the guests. Both coaches used bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Independiente will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game.
