The game between second ranked Obras (14-8) and fifteenth ranked Platense (9-12) was the most important one in the last round on Sunday night. Obras was defeated by Platense in Florida 87-74. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Obras. Platense looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. It was a great evening for swingman Julian Morales (195-1995) who led his team to a victory scoring 11 points, 8 rebounds and 7 assists. Cesar Jara helped adding 14 points and 5 assists (on 6-of-7 shooting from the field). Platense's coach Martin Yanguela used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. At the losing side American guard Ty Sabin (190-1994, college: Ripon) responded with 15 points and 8 rebounds. Platense moved-up to fourteenth place. Obras at the other side keeps the second position with eight games lost. Platense will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. However their fans expected much easier game. Regatas' coach Juan Manuel Varas allowed to play the deep bench players in such tough game.
