Fourteenth-rankedBoca Juniors (8-12) gave a tough game to seventh ranked Regatas (13-7) in Corrientes. Regatas managed to secure only three-point victory 58-55 . However their fans expected much easier game. Strangely Boca Juniors outrebounded Regatas 49-30 including a 38-27 advantage in defensive rebounds. Boca Juniors was plagued by 24 personal fouls down the stretch. It was an exceptional evening for the former international power forward Tayavek Gallizzi (206-1993) who led the winners and scored 16 points and 5 rebounds. The former international forward Claudio Ramirez (200-1990) accounted for 10 points for the winning side. Regatas' coach Juan Manuel Varas allowed to play the deep bench players in such tough game. The former international Sebastian Vega (200-1988) came up with a double-double by scoring 16 points and 10 rebounds and the former international center Francisco Caffaro (216-2000, college: Santa Clara) added 9 points and 13 rebounds respectively for Boca Juniors in the defeat. Regatas moved-up to fifth place, which they share with Obera. Boca Juniors lost sixth consecutive game. Defending champion dropped to the fifteenth position with 12 games lost.
