It's especially surprising that the victory came too easily and 22-point difference suggests that Olimpico is in a good shape to leave the bottom place. They dominated down low during the game scoring 64 of its points in the paint compared to Gimnasia CR's 38. Olimpico looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. It was a good game for guard Jeremias Barco (-2005) who led his team to a victory with 19 points and 8 rebounds. Maximo Martinez contributed with 18 points and 5 rebounds for the winners. Olimpico's coach Jose Maria Gerez felt very confident that he used entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Ciro Melo replied with a double-double by scoring 23 points and 11 rebounds for Gimnasia. Olimpico maintains nineteenth position with 3-20 record. Ferro did not have too big problems and got a relatively easy victory 84-65. Tobias Tamagusuku scored 17 points, 6 assists and 4 steals to lead the charge for the winners and Camilo Jara chipped in 15 points and 6 rebounds during the contest. Ferro's coach Juan Di Gilio allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. The best for the losing side was Elias Garcia with 14 points and 6 rebounds. Ferro moved-up to fifth place, which they share with defeated Independ.O. Ferro will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game.
