Here is the last round review presented by Job Market.

The most important game in the last round took place in Comodoro Rivadavia between third ranked Obras (15-9) and ninth ranked Gimnasia (14-11) on Sunday night. Obras was edged by Gimnasia in a tough game on the road 86-88. Gimnasia made 16-of-19 free shots (84.2 percent) during the game. Gimnasia outrebounded Obras 45-33 including a 22-8 advantage in offensive rebounds. Point guard Martiniano Dato (188-2004) had a double-double by scoring 25 points, 11 rebounds and 6 assists (made all of his seven free throws) to lead the charge for the winners and Venezuelan forward Anyelo Cisneros (200-1997) chipped in 16 points, 16 rebounds and 4 assists during the contest. At the losing side American guard Ty Sabin (190-1994, college: Ripon) responded with 30 points. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Gimnasia moved-up to eighth place, which they share with Instituto. Obras at the other side keeps the third position with nine games lost. Gimnasia is looking forward to face Racing Ch. (#18) in Chivilcoy in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Obras will play at home against Obera (#5) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
Bottom-ranked Argentino managed to get a fourth victory, breaking the five-game losing streak. This time they won against tenth-ranked Penarol in Mar del Plata 74-69. American Dylan Smith (196-1997, college: Arizona) notched 19 points to lead the effort and Ramiro Frontera supported him with 10 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists. Even 16 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists by the former international guard Agustin Perez (192-1999) did not help to save the game for Penarol. Penarol's coach Leonardo Costa rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Argentino maintains nineteenth position with 4-20 record. Penarol at the other side keeps the tenth place with 11 games lost. Argentino will play against higher ranked Platense (#14) in Florida in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. Penarol will have a break next round.
La Liga top team - Independ.O. (16-7) had no problems winning another game on Sunday. This time they crushed eleventh ranked Union (11-11) in Olivia 103-75. Fortunato Rolfi fired 19 points, 7 rebounds and 7 assists for the winners. Theo Akwuba produced a double-double by scoring 10 points and 12 rebounds for lost side. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Independ.O. maintains first position with 16-7 record. Loser Union SF keeps the eleventh place with 11 games lost. Independ.O. will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Union will play against Atenas (#17) in Cordoba and hope to secure a win.

There were no shocking results in the other games in round 34: Union won against Instituto on the opponent's court 80-78. Platense managed to outperform Olimpico in a home game 82-68. Regatas managed to beat San Martin on the road 91-79.

There was a minor upset in Cordoba where 8th ranked Instituto (14-11) was edged by eleventh ranked Union (11-11) 80-78 on Friday. Instituto's coach Diego Vadell tested ten players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Union maintains eleventh position with 11-11 record. Loser Instituto keeps the eighth place with 11 games lost. They share the position with Gimnasia. Union will meet Atenas (#17) in the next round where they are favorite. Instituto will play against Ferro (#4) having rather not much hope for a victory.
