The most exciting game of round 31 in the LDB took place in Mar del Plata. This derby game ended with only two-point defeat on the road of 16th ranked Argentino (7-17) to fifteenth ranked Penarol (8-15) 63-61 in the game for the fifteenth place. Strangely Argentino outrebounded Penarol 42-29 including 35 on the defensive glass. 24 personal fouls committed by Argentino helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. It was a great evening for point guard Gian Rossi (185-2005) who led his team to a victory scoring 21 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists. Guard Gonzalo Aman (190-2008) helped adding 15 points and 6 rebounds. Penarol's coach Tomas Sirochinsky used an eleven-player rotation in such tough game. At the losing side Martino Caporaletti responded with 12 points and 8 rebounds. Penarol maintains fifteenth place with 8-15 record. Argentino at the other side keeps the sixteenth position with 17 games lost. They share it with Atenas. Penarol will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Instituto's coach Ignacio Giambartolomei felt very confident that he used entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Agustin Ferrari (-2005) came up with 26 points and 4 assists for Union in the defeat. Instituto have a solid series of four victories in a row. They maintain second place with 19-5 record having just nine point less than leader Obras. Union at the other side keeps the fourteenth position with 13 games lost.
