Here is the last round review presented by Job Market.

The most exciting game of round 31 in the LDB took place in Mar del Plata. This derby game ended with only two-point defeat on the road of 16th ranked Argentino (7-17) to fifteenth ranked Penarol (8-15) 63-61 in the game for the fifteenth place. Strangely Argentino outrebounded Penarol 42-29 including 35 on the defensive glass. 24 personal fouls committed by Argentino helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. It was a great evening for point guard Gian Rossi (185-2005) who led his team to a victory scoring 21 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists. Guard Gonzalo Aman (190-2008) helped adding 15 points and 6 rebounds. Penarol's coach Tomas Sirochinsky used an eleven-player rotation in such tough game. At the losing side Martino Caporaletti responded with 12 points and 8 rebounds. Penarol maintains fifteenth place with 8-15 record. Argentino at the other side keeps the sixteenth position with 17 games lost. They share it with Atenas. Penarol will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Argentino will play on the road against Platense (#6) in Florida and is hoping to prove to their supporters that this time they can win.
Second ranked Instituto (19-5) crushed at home 14th ranked Union (8-13) by 38 points 108-70, which is the biggest margin this round. It was a quality performance for Lucas Andersson who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 11 points, 10 rebounds and 8 assists. Jeronimo Guerrero accounted for 19 points and 7 assists. Instituto's coach Ignacio Giambartolomei felt very confident that he used entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Agustin Ferrari (-2005) came up with 26 points and 4 assists for Union in the defeat. Instituto have a solid series of four victories in a row. They maintain second place with 19-5 record having just nine point less than leader Obras. Union at the other side keeps the fourteenth position with 13 games lost. Instituto will play against Ferro (#7) in Buenos Aires in the next round which should be theoretically another easy game. Union will play on the road against Atenas (#16) in Cordoba and it may be a tough game between close rivals.

Leonel Nunez produced a double-double by scoring 11 points and 13 rebounds for lost side. Regatas (18-4) have an impressive series of seven victories in a row. They moved-up to third place. San Martin lost fourth consecutive game. They keep the twelfth position with 14 games lost. They share it with Quimsa. Regatas will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. San Martin will play against La Union (#4) and hope to secure a win.

There were no shocking results in the rest of the games of round 31: Boca Jrs. lost to Racing Ch. on the opponent's court 76-81. Platense managed to outperform Olimpico in a home game 83-67. Union recorded a loss to Independ.O. on the road 92-79. Gimnasia was crushed by Obras on its own court 57-81.
The most impressive stats of the last round was 23 points by Matias Khoury of Obras.




Racing Ch. - Boca Jrs. 81-76

Very expected game in Chivilcoy where 18th ranked Boca Jrs (6-15) was defeated by ninth ranked Racing Ch. (11-12) 81-76 on Thursday. However just five-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. Francisco Gonzalez fired 25 points and 4 steals for the winners. Tomas Delia chipped in 16 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists. Racing Ch.'s coach allowed to play the deep bench players in such tough game. Ezequiel Juarez produced 17 points, 8 rebounds and 6 assists and center Agustin Della (202-2009) added 13 points and 12 rebounds respectively for lost side. Four Racing Ch. and five Boca Jrs. players scored in double figures. Racing Ch. maintains ninth place with 11-12 record. Loser Boca Jrs keeps the eighteenth position with 15 games lost. Racing Ch. will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Boca Jrs. will play against Olimpico (#19) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.

Instituto players were unselfish on offense dishing 29 assists comparing to just 13 passes made by Union's players. It was a quality performance for Lucas Andersson who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 11 points, 10 rebounds and 8 assists. Very predictable result in Florida where seventh ranked Platense (14-8) defeated bottom-ranked Olimpico (3-21) 83-67 on Saturday. Platense forced 19 Olimpico turnovers and outrebounded them 41-28 including 28 on the defensive glass. Giovanni Pappalardi fired 20 points and 6 rebounds for the winners. Forward Santino Mazzucchelli (196-2004) chipped in 10 points and 7 rebounds. Platense's coach Martin De Zan let to play all 12 players and allowed the starting five to rest. Guard Jeremias Barco (-2005) produced a double-double by scoring 18 points and 10 rebounds and guard Ignacio Gonzalez (187-2003) added 17 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists respectively for lost side. Four Olimpico players scored in double figures. Platense moved-up to sixth place, which they share with Ferro. Loser Olimpico stay dead last with 21 lost games. Platense will meet at home Argentino (#17) in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Olimpico will play against Boca Jrs. in Buenos Aires and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
