Here is the last round review presented by Job Market.

The game between third ranked GELP (15-7) and eighth ranked Dep Viedma (13-9) was the most important one in the last round on Wednesday night. GELP was defeated by Dep Viedma in La Plata 88-78. Guard Luciano Caceres (180-2001) fired 20 points for the winners. point guard Nicolas Paletta (179-1987) chipped in 15 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists. Cuban Joan Gutierrez (192-2003) produced 16 points and 9 rebounds for lost side. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Dep Viedma have an impressive series of six victories in a row. They moved-up to fifth place, which they share with Quilmes and Pico FC. GELP at the other side keeps the third position with seven games lost. They share it with San Isidro. Dep Viedma is looking forward to face U.Mar del Plata (#12) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. GELP will have a break next round.
Another exciting game was played in Galvez between eighth ranked Villa S.Martin and 4th placed Santa Paula where Villa S.Martin (12-10) won against Santa Paula (14-8) on the road 85-79. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Santa Paula. Worth to mention a great performance of power forward Estefano Simondi (201-1996) who helped to win the game recording 24 points and 5 rebounds. Elian Centeno contributed with 14 points and 13 rebounds for the winners. Jeronimo Diaz (185-2002) answered with a double-double by scoring 17 points and 11 assists for Santa Paula. Santa Paula's coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Villa S.Martin moved-up to seventh place. Santa Paula at the other side keeps the fourth position with eight games lost. Villa S.Martin will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Santa Paula will play on the road against Hindu (#13) in Cordoba and hopes to get back on the winning track.

It was a great evening for Conrado Echevarria who led his team to a victory scoring 22 points (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field). At the losing side Phillip Lockett responded with 10 points, 8 rebounds and 6 assists. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Amancay maintains first place with 16-7 record, which they share with Barrio Parque. Loser Comunicaciones keeps the fourteenth position with 11 games lost. Amancay will meet Suardi (#10) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Comunicaciones will play against Riojana (#15) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.

Other games of round 43 were quite predictable and ended without any surprises. Here they are:
Lanus defeated Villa Mitre in Buenos Aires 88-74. Suardi smashed Rivadavia at home 76-56. El Talar was destroyed by C.Entrerriano on the opponent's court 95-75. Racing A. outscored Ciclista in a home game 83-59. Las Heras was rolled over Barrio Parque on the road 106-71.
The best stats of 43th round was 21 points by Francisco Bonja of Barrio Parque.



Villa Mitre - Lanus 74-88

There was no surprise in Bahia Blanca where 11th ranked Villa Mitre (9-12) was defeated by eighth ranked Lanus (13-10) 88-74 on Tuesday. Lanus dominated down low during the game scoring 54 of its points in the paint compared to Villa Mitre's 34. It was a great evening for American center Roquez Johnson (201-1992, college: MSU, agency: BIG) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 18 points and 14 rebounds. His fellow American import swingman Michael Henry (198-1995, college: Buffalo St.) helped adding 21 points and 6 rebounds. Four Lanus players scored in double figures. At the losing side center Julian Lorca (207-2003) responded with 16 points and 7 rebounds and Federico Harina (186-1991) scored 15 points. Villa Mitre's coach tested ten players and allowed the starting five to rest. Lanus maintains eighth place with 13-10 record. Loser Villa Mitre keeps the eleventh position with 12 games lost. They share it with Hindu. Lanus will meet at home league's leader Provincial in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Villa Mitre will have a break next round.

Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. The victory was the third consecutive win for Suardi. They moved-up to ninth place, which they share with Caroya. Loser Rivadavia keeps the eleventh position with 14 games lost. They share it with Independiente. Suardi will meet at home league's leader Amancay in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Rivadavia will play against San Isidro (#3) in San Francisco and hope to secure a win.
