LaLiga Femenina Round 22 (Regular Season): Riachuelo wins their first game

There are only two more rounds left in the Regular Season in LaLiga Femenina. Here is the last round review presented by LBM Management.

Riachuelo can celebrate finally their first win this season after 13 consecutive losses. They used home court advantage to defeat Bochas (4-11) 75-60 on Wednesday. Riachuelo forced 23 Bochas turnovers. Camila Borgogno fired a double-double by scoring 20 points and 11 rebounds for the winners. point guard Florencia Ortiz (160-2000) chipped in 21 points, 7 rebounds, 4 assists and 6 steals. Renata Niveyro produced 20 points and 7 rebounds for lost side. Bochas' coach Carlos Saran rotated twelve players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Despite that victory Riachuelo went down to eighteenth position due to points difference. Bochas at the other side keeps the fifteenth place with 11 games lost. Riachuelo are looking forward to face higher ranked Instituto (#8) in Cordoba in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. Bochas will play on the road against Gorriones (#12) in Rio Cuarto and is hoping to win this game.
Undefeated leader Chanares delivered the sixteenth consecutive victory. This time they beat 8th ranked Quimsa (8-8) 71-65 in Santiado del Estero. Worth to mention a great performance of forward Stefania Lucero (172-1993, agency: BIG) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 16 points and 10 rebounds. Regina Carosio contributed with 13 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists for the winners. Swingman Lorena Campos (171-1999) replied with 22 points and 7 rebounds for Quimsa. Both coaches used bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Undefeated Chanares (16-0) have an impressive 16-game winning streak. They maintain first position with a perfect record of 16 victories in a row. Quimsa at the other side dropped to the ninth place with eight games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
A very close game took place in between Quimsa and Avellaneda. Eighth ranked Quimsa (8-8) got a very close victory on the road over 10th ranked Avellaneda (7-7). Quimsa managed to escape with a 1-point win 57-56 on Tuesday evening. It ended at the same time the four-game winning streak of Avellaneda. Sabrina Molina scored 12 points and 8 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners. At the losing side Milagros Morell responded with a double-double by scoring 16 points and 10 rebounds. Both coaches tested many bench players in such tough game. Despite that victory Quimsa went down to ninth position due to points difference. Loser Avellaneda dropped to the eleventh place with seven games lost. Quimsa will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Avellaneda will play against San Jose (#13) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.

Rest of the games of round 22 were quite predictable and ended without any surprises. Here they are:
Bigua defeated Rocamora in Neuquen 74-65. Gorriones was beaten by Hindu at home 55-68. Instituto lost to San Jose on the opponent's court 56-68. Ferro managed to outperform Lanus in a home game 79-70. Instituto rolled over Riachuelo on the road 107-63.

Avellaneda - Quimsa 56-57

The former international Maria Jourdheuil (180-1994) had a double-double by scoring 12 points and 15 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and the former international swingman Agustina Garcia (173-1996) chipped in 20 points during the contest. At the losing side guard Paula Santini (165-2006) responded with 19 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists and Guadalupe Chiappella scored 17 points. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Bigua moved-up to fourteenth place. Rocamora lost eighth consecutive game. They keep the seventeenth position with 12 games lost. Bigua's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from Neuquen Independiente.

At the losing side the former international Camila Suarez (178-2000) responded with a double-double by scoring 19 points and 10 rebounds and Lucia Pispieiro scored 16 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists. Hindu have a solid three-game winning streak. They maintain third position with 11-4 record having six points less than leader Chanares. Gorriones lost fourth consecutive game. There was a minor upset when 10th ranked Instituto (8-7) was defeated on the road by thirteenth ranked San Jose (6-9) 68-56 on Thursday. Lourdes Cabral scored 15 points and 9 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and Sol Quiroga chipped in 10 points and 10 rebounds during the contest. At the losing side the former international power forward Giselle Botta (180-1999) responded with 17 points and 7 rebounds and point guard Julieta Sienra (161-2003) scored 16 points. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. San Jose maintains thirteenth position with 6-9 record. Loser Instituto dropped to the seventh place with seven games lost. They share the position with Independiente. San Jose will meet at home higher ranked Avellaneda (#11) in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Instituto will play against Riachuelo (#18) and hope to secure a win.

The former international center Florencia Fernandez (189-1986) scored 11 points and 9 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and Pilar Carra chipped in 15 points during the contest. At the losing side guard Berenice Lopez (168-1999) responded with 26 points and power forward Julieta Perez Costa (175-1998) scored 7 points and 7 rebounds. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Defending champion moved-up to fourth place. Loser Lanus keeps the sixteenth position with 12 games lost.
