The Regular Season in La Liga Argentina is almost over. Almost everything is clear. There are only 3 rounds left. Here is the last round review presented by Job Market.

The most crucial game of the last round was another loss of San Isidro (21-9) in San Francisco on Wednesday night. Hosts were defeated by Amancay (21-9) 67-59. It was a key game for the top position in the league. Amancay made 21-of-26 free shots (80.8 percent) during the game. Strangely San Isidro outrebounded Amancay 50-33 including a 18-2 advantage in offensive rebounds. 24 personal fouls committed by San Isidro helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. It was a great evening for guard Mauro Araujo (185-1994) who led his team to a victory scoring 9 points, 9 rebounds and 5 assists. Pablo Osores (194-1986) helped adding 15 points and 5 rebounds. At the losing side Luciano Ortiz (199-1999) responded with 10 points and 8 rebounds. Amancay keeps a position of league leader, which they share with defeated San Isidro. Amancay will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. San Isidro will play at home against Riojana and is hoping to win this game.

Visiting Suardi was defeated by Rivadavia in a tough game in Rivadavia 92-97. It ended at the same time the 12-game winning streak of Suardi. It was an exceptional evening for power forward Tobias Cravero (197-1999) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 21 points and 13 rebounds (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field). Francisco Llanos accounted for 23 points and 9 assists. point guard Milton Vittar (185-1991) came up with 28 points and 5 rebounds for Suardi in the defeat. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Rivadavia moved-up to thirteenth place. Suardi at the other side dropped to the fourth position with 12 games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
The game in Buenos Aires was also quite interesting. 4th placed Pico FC (18-11) played at the court of sixth ranked Lanus (19-11). Lanus managed to secure a 7-point victory 80-73 on Friday. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Pico FC. Michael Henry fired 16 points and 8 rebounds for the winners. Rodrigo Sanchez produced a double-double by scoring 13 points and 13 rebounds for lost side. Both coaches tested many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Lanus moved-up to fourth place. Loser Pico FC dropped to the fifth position with 11 games lost. They share it with Quilmes. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.

There were no shocking results in the rest of the games of round 55: Pico FC won against El Talar on the opponent's court 65-58. Barrio Parque outscored Salta Basket in a home game 82-61. C.Entrerriano managed to beat Villa Mitre on the road 77-72. Hindu was crushed by Salta Basket on its own court 64-91. Estudiantes T. was beaten by Villa S.Martin in Resistencia 70-59. Comunicaciones destroyed Las Heras at home 96-66. Riojana was outscored by Santa Paula on the opponent's court 95-72.
The most impressive stats of the last round was 25 points, 5 rebounds and 7 assists by Francisco Dalpino of Santa Paula.




Rivadavia - Suardi 97-92

Very important is a road loss of third ranked Suardi (20-12) against fourteenth ranked Rivadavia (12-19) on Wednesday night. Visiting Suardi was defeated by Rivadavia in a tough game in Rivadavia 92-97. It ended at the same time the 12-game winning streak of Suardi.
