Bomber George Angels clinch Bahamas National title - May 18, 2010 Bomber George Angels are the new Bahamas National champions. The New Providence champions bettered three other teams en route to the trophy. The Angels arrived to Marsh Harbour, Abaco for the National Championship organized by the Bahamas Basketball Federation. The Angels were opposed by the Coca Cola Stars of Grand Bahama, the Abaco champs as well as the Electro Telecom Queens of NPWBA. The Angels outgunned the Abaco champions and the Queens. They set up the final clash against the Coca Cola Stars. The title decider turned into a rather one-way traffic. The Angels dominated almost every facet of the encounter giving no chance for the Grand Bahama champs. Bomber George Angels claimed a 53:33 victory and topped the pedestal. Shaunda Rahming knocked down 15 points to lead the winners. She was trumped the MVP after the clash. Keisha Richardson delivered 11 points for the Angels. Deandra Outten responded with 9 points for the Stars. Kila Campbell team finished the tournament undefeated at 4-0 record. |
