MailBoat Cybots Win NPBA Championship Title!!! - May 1, 2013

The MailBoat Cybots won their 2nd NPBA Championship Title since 2009 beating the Commonwealth Bank Giants in a thrilling 100-99 victory! After coming up short last year, the Cybots made sure that did not happen again as they beat the defending champs 4-1 in the series. Down 75 to 52 with four minutes left in the game, the Cybots rallied to tie the game at 99 with 11.8 seconds left on the clock. Led by their leading scorer, Brian 'Tucker' Bain, who came up with a big steal and lay-up that tied the game, his heroics came after the Giants missed a pair of free throws (with 10.3 left on the clock) that could have sealed the game. Bain sank the final two free throws with 2.3 seconds left on the clock helping his team secure a 4-1 edge to become the 2013 NPBA Champions and next month, they will travel to Grand Bahama to represent the league in the Bahamas Basketball Round Robin Championship.
