Here is the weekly review of the top performing Bahamas players, who play currently abroad.

   #1. This week's number one is an international guard Buddy Hield (193-93, college: Oklahoma, currently plays in NBA). He could not help the Sacramento Kings (18-15) in their last game. Despite Hield's very good performance the Sacramento Kings (18-15) were badly defeated 132-113 on the road by the Oklahoma City Thunder. He was the top scorer with 37 points. Hield also added 6 rebounds and 3 assists (made all of his eight free throws) in 35 minutes on the court; quite an impressive performance considering it's only his third season in pro basketball. Hield has individually a very good year with high stats. He averages: 20.4ppg, 5.2rpg, 2.4apg, 2FGP: 51.2%, 3FGP: 44.0% and FT: 84.5% in 33 games he played so far. Hield is currently a member of the Bahamas senior national team.

DeAndre Ayton

   #2. Second place goes to former international center DeAndre Ayton (216-98, college: Arizona, currently plays in NBA). He was not able to help the Phoenix Suns (8-26) in their last game on Sunday. Despite Ayton's very good performance the Phoenix Suns (8-26) were defeated 111-103 at home by the Brooklyn Nets. He recorded a double-double by scoring 26 points and getting 18 rebounds. Ayton also added 3 blocks. It's Ayton's first season with the team. This year he has very high stats. Ayton averages: 16.6ppg, 10.9rpg, 2.3apg, 2FGP: 60.2%(248-412) and FT: 77.0%. He played for the Bahamas national team in 2016.

   #3. The Bahamas player who performed third best last week abroad was an experienced former international power forward Christopher Turnquest (204-83, college: Miles CC, currently plays in Spain). Turnquest was not able to secure a victory for Arenys (7-5) in their last game on Sunday. Despite his good performance the fourth-placed Arenys (7-5) was badly defeated 87-68 on their home court in Arenys del Mar by the much lower-ranked Sant Adria (#12) in the Group C-B. Turnquest recorded a double-double by scoring 13 points and getting the same number of rebounds. This season Turnquest has very high stats. He averages: 17.5ppg, 11.1rpg, 2FGP: 57.5%(77-134), 3FGP: 24.0% and FT: 77.6%. Turnquest played for the Bahamas national team twelve years ago.

   #4. Forward Travis Munnings (198-94, currently plays college basketball in the States) led La-Monroe to an easy victory against the Coppin State College 80-63 in the NCAA last Friday. He recorded 32 points (!!!) and grabbed 8 rebounds in 35 minutes. The University of Louisiana at Monroe has conference record this season. Munnings is one of the most experienced players in a team as it's his fourth year in La-Monroe's roster. Munnings has relatively good stats this season: 14.5ppg, 6.6rpg, 2.5apg and 1.1spg in 11 games. He is also Bahamas national team player.

   #5. International forward Dwight Coleby (206-94, college: W.Kentucky, currently plays in Japan) couldn't help Akita Happinets (10-16) in their game against Chiba Jets (21-5) in the Japanese B League. Despite his good performance on Saturday night Coleby recorded a double-double by scoring 11 points and getting 16 rebounds. He also added 4 assists and 3 steals. There are only four games left until the end of the Regular Season. So now every game will be critical. Coleby's overall stats this season are: 9.5ppg, 10.0rpg, 2.0apg and 1.5spg. He plays currently for the Bahamas national team.

   #6. Center Gjio Bain (211-85, college: S.Mississippi, currently plays in Japan) couldn't help Iwate Big Bulls (5-19) in their game against Koshigaya Alphas (20-4) in the Japanese B League D3, despite his very good performance in Sunday night's game. Bain had a double-double by scoring 15 points and getting 11 rebounds. He also added 2 blocks in 30 minutes. But Iwate Big Bulls were crushed 87-63 on their home court in Iwate by the second-ranked Koshigaya Alphas. This year Bain's overall stats are: 8.7ppg, 8.0rpg and 1.3bpg in 24 games. He is a former international player as he played for the Bahamas senior team seven years ago.

   #7. International point guard Jaron Cornish (180, currently studies in the States) led Stony Brook to a 3-point victory against the Quinnipiac College 76-73 in the NCAA last Saturday. Cornish scored 15 points, grabbed 6 boards, passed 4 assists and added 3 steals. The State University of New York,Stony Brook has conference record this season. Cornish's total stats this year are: 9.1ppg, 4.1rpg and 3.6apg. He is also Bahamas national team player.

   #8. Forward Charles Bain (203-96, is currently at the American university) couldn't help the Robert Morris in their game against the University of Louisville in the NCAA, despite his very good performance on Friday night. Bain recorded 18 points and grabbed 4 rebounds in 28 minutes. Buthis team lost 59-73 on their home court in Pittsburgh to the University of. This year Bain's total stats are: 9.4ppg and 4.3rpg in 12 games. He used to play for the Bahamas U17 national team back in 2013.

   #9. International forward Jaraun Burrows (203-85, college: PFW, currently plays in France) couldn't help one of league's weakest teams Provence Basket (4-10) in their game against Olympique Antibes (3-11) in the French ProA. Burrows scored 7 points. Provence Basket was defeated 87-80 in Antibes by the higher-ranked Olympique (#15). Burrows has averaged so far 9.4ppg and 3.8rpg. He is also in the roster of the Bahamas national team.

   #10. Forward Philip McKenzie (196-98, currently plays college basketball in the States) couldn't help the one of league's weakest teams Houston Baptist in their game against the University of Miami, Florida in the NCAA, despite his very good performance last Wednesday. McKenzie scored 15 points and grabbed 4 rebounds in 34 minutes. Buthis team lost 73-80 on their home court in Houston to the University of , Florida. McKenzie has averaged so far 6.2ppg and 5.4rpg in 10 games. He is a former U17 international player as three years ago he still played for the Bahamas national team.

   #11. International forward Tavario Miller (203-94, college: Texas A&M, currently plays in Spain) couldn't help Baskonia in their game against Marin in the Spanish LEB Silver (third division). Miller scored only 4 points and grabbed 10 rebounds. His team was defeated 73-63. This season he has relatively solid stats: 10.2ppg, 7.5rpg and 1.4spg. Worth to mention he played also at Eurobasket Summer League, which helped him get the job in pro basketball. Miller plays currently for the Bahamas national team.


The list of other players, who all have Bahamas passport but never been selected to any of Bahamas national teams:

   #1. Klay Thompson (201-G-90, college: Washington St., currently plays in NBA) led Golden State Warriors to an easy victory against the Memphis Grizzlies (17-16) 110-93 in the NBA on Monday night. Thompson scored 16 points, grabbed 5 boards, dished 3 assists and stole 3 balls in 32 minutes. The Golden State Warriors have a solid 23-11 record this season. It was his team's third consecutive victory in a row. Thompson is one of the most experienced players in a team as it's his eighth year in Golden State Warriors' roster. He has individually a very good season with high stats. Thompson averages: 21.5ppg, 4.2rpg, 2.1apg and 1.1spg in 34 games he played so far. He has a dual citizenship: Bahamas and American.

   #2. Nathan Bain (198-F, currently plays college basketball in the States) led SF Austin to an easy victory against the Arlington Baptist University crushing them 97-47 in the NCAA on Friday night. Bain recorded 11 points and grabbed 4 rebounds. The Stephen F. Austin State University has conference record this season. Bain has been at the team for four years. He has averaged so far 6.5ppg, 4.9rpg and 1.2apg.

   #3. Radshad Davis (188-G, currently studies in the States), who plays in the NCAA could not help the one of league's weakest teams Texas Arlington to beat the Gonzaga University. Davis recorded 7 points and grabbed 6 rebounds in 24 minutes. his team was crushed 89-55 at home by the Gonzaga University. Davis has averaged so far 7.6ppg and 6.1rpg in 12 games.

   #4. Winslo Barry (208-F-90, college: Incarnate Word, currently plays in Spain) was not able to help Naron in their game against Chantada (8-3) in the Spanish EBA (fourth division). He scored only 4 points. Naron (#10) was edged 60-58 on the road by the second-ranked Chantada in the Group A-B. Barry has averaged so far 9.7ppg and 6.7rpg.

   #5. Willis Mackey (203-F, currently plays in NAIA) was not able to secure a victory for the University of Northwestern Ohio in their last game. Despite his good performance his team lost 70-82 in Goshen to the College. Mackey recorded 14 points and grabbed 8 rebounds in 27 minutes. Mackey has been at the team for four years. He has averaged so far 9.7ppg and 6.7rpg in six games.

   #6. Aaron Levarity (198-F, is currently at the American university) couldn't help the Milligan College in their game against the University of North Carolina - Asheville in the AAC. Despite his very good performance in Friday night's game Levarity recorded a double-double by scoring 20 points and getting 11 rebounds. He also added 2 blocks. Levarity has averaged so far 9.7ppg and 6.7rpg.

   #7. Daejour Adderley (188-G, currently plays in NAIA) couldn't help the Saint Thomas University in their game against the Indiana Tech in the TSC. He scored 6 points in 21 minutes. His team lost 68-81 in the TSC. Adderley has averaged so far 9.7ppg and 6.7rpg in six games.
