Here is the weekly review of the top performing Bahamas players, who play currently abroad.

   #1. This week's number one is an international guard Buddy Hield (193-93, college: Oklahoma, currently plays in NBA). He led Sacramento Kings to a victory over the Philadelphia 76ers (34-19) 115-108 in the NBA in Saturday night's game. Hield was MVP of the game. He scored 34 points (!!!), had 6 rebounds and dished 3 assists in 35 minutes on the court; quite an impressive performance considering it's only Hield's third season in pro basketball. The Sacramento Kings have 27-25 record this season. Hield has individually a very good year with high stats. He averages: 20.5ppg, 4.9rpg, 2.3apg, 2FGP: 49.7%, 3FGP: 46.0%(180-391) and FT: 86.3% in 52 games he played so far. Hield is currently a member of the Bahamas senior national team.

   #2. Second place goes to an international forward David Nesbitt (200-91, college: St.Thomas, FL, currently plays in Brazil). Nesbitt contributed to Flamengo's victory against the closely-ranked Paulistano (12-7) 95-87 in the Brazilian NBB on Friday night. He recorded 16 points in a mere 16 minutes. Clube de Regatas do Flamengo (8-2) is placed second in the NBB. This year Nesbitt's overall stats are: 7.7ppg, 5.0rpg, 2FGP: 59.7%(43-72), 3FGP: 25.0% and FT: 72.7% in 18 games. He is in the roster of the Bahamas senior national team.

   #3. The Bahamas player who performed third best last week abroad was former international center DeAndre Ayton (216-98, college: Arizona, currently plays in NBA). Ayton could not help the Phoenix Suns (11-43) in their last game on Saturday. Despite his good performance the Phoenix Suns (11-43) were defeated 118-112 on the road by the Atlanta Hawks. Ayton recorded a double-double by scoring 13 points and getting 11 rebounds. He also added 3 assists. It's Ayton's first season with the team. This year Ayton has very high stats. He averages: 16.3ppg, 10.6rpg, 2.0apg, 2FGP: 59.0%(342-580) and FT: 77.3%. Ayton played for the Bahamas national team three years ago.

   #4. An experienced power forward Christopher Turnquest (204-83, college: Miles CC, currently plays in Spain) was not able to help Arenys in their game against Palma II (6-9) in the Spanish EBA (fourth division), despite his good performance last Sunday. He had a double-double by scoring 10 points and getting 18 rebounds in 30 minutes. But the fourth-placed Arenys (8-7) lost 57-69 at home to the much lower-ranked (#11) Palma II in the Group C-B. Turnquest has very impressive stats this year: 15.9ppg and 11.4rpg in 15 games. He used to play for the Bahamas national team back in 2006.

   #5. International forward Dwight Coleby (206-94, college: W.Kentucky, currently plays in Japan) was not able to secure a victory for Akita Happinets (13-25) in their game against Yokohama BC (10-28) in the Japanese B League. Despite his very good performance on Sunday night Coleby recorded a double-double by scoring 15 points and getting 11 rebounds. He also added 2 blocks and 3 steals. Coleby's total stats this season are: 10.0ppg, 10.4rpg, 1.8apg and 1.4spg. He plays currently for the Bahamas national team.

   #6. Power forward Kadeem Coleby (206-89, college: Wichita St., currently plays in Japan) is a teammate of previously mentioned Dwight Coleby. But that was another game of his team in Japanese B League which we would like to mention. Coleby couldn't help Akita Happinets (13-25) in their game against Tochigi Brex (30-8), despite his very good performance in Wednesday night's game. He was the second best scorer with 15 points. Coleby also added 8 boards, handed out 4 passes and blocked 2 shots in 37 minutes. But Akita Happinets (#5) lost 74-78 in Tochigi to the second-ranked Brex in the East group. Coleby has relatively good stats this year: 12.9ppg, 9.0rpg, 1.5apg and 2.5bpg in 34 games. Worth to mention Coleby played also at Eurobasket Summer League, which helped him get the job in pro basketball. He is an international player who is currently on the senior Bahamas National Team roster.

   #7. International forward Travis Munnings (198-94, currently plays college basketball in the States) couldn't help the La-Monroe (3-2) in their game against the Coastal Carolina University (0-5) in the NCAA. Despite his very good performance last Thursday Munnings scored 23 points and grabbed 8 rebounds. Munnings is one of the most experienced players in a team as it's his fourth year in La-Monroe's roster. This season he has relatively solid stats: 13.4ppg, 7.3rpg and 2.5apg. Munnings is also Bahamas national team player.

   #8. Forward Charles Bain (203-96, currently studies in the States) couldn't help the Robert Morris (4-1) in their game against the Fairleigh Dickinson University (2-3) in the NCAA, despite his very good performance on Saturday night. He recorded 18 points and grabbed 7 rebounds in 38 minutes. Buthis team was edged 97-94 on their home court in Pittsburgh by the Fairleigh Dickinson University. Bain has reliable stats this year: 10.3ppg and 4.5rpg in 23 games. He used to play for the Bahamas U17 national team back in 2013.

   #9. International forward Kentwan Smith (203-91, college: Stetson, currently plays in Denmark) managed to help Team FOG Naestved to win against the second-ranked Horsens IC (13-5) 101-84 in the Danish BasketLigaen last Thursday. He scored only 3 points. Team FOG Naestved (12-8) is placed fourth in ProA group. There are only four games left until the end of the Regular Season. So now every game will be critical. Smith's total stats this season are: 8.7ppg, 4.7rpg and 1.2apg. He is also in the roster of the Bahamas national team.

   #10. Forward Jordan Wilson (196-96, currently plays in Canada) contributed to a Dalhousie University's victory against the Axemen (12-3) 79-75 in the U Sports on Saturday night. Wilson recorded 6 points in only 11 minutes. The Dalhousie University has 9-6 record this season. This year Wilson's total stats are: 7.1ppg, 4.2rpg and 1.9apg in 15 games. He is a former U17 international player as six years ago he still played for the Bahamas national team.

   #11. Former U17 international forward Philip McKenzie (196-98, is currently at the American university) helped Houston Baptist win their game against the The University of Incarnate Word 96-92 in the NCAA in Wednesday night's game. McKenzie recorded only 4 points. McKenzie has averaged so far 6.5ppg and 4.7rpg. He used to play for the Bahamas U17 national team four years ago.

   #12. International center Zane Knowles (208-92, agency: Octagon Europe, college: Texas A&M-CC, currently plays in France) couldn't help C'Chartres in their game against Nantes in the French ProB (second division). Knowles scored 6 points and grabbed 5 rebounds in 21 minutes. His team lost 71-81. Knowles' stats this year are: 13.0ppg, 6.0rpg and 1.2apg in five games. He is also in the roster of the Bahamas national team.

   #13. International point guard Jaron Cornish (180, currently plays college basketball in the States) helped Stony Brook win their game against the University of Hartford 86-77 in the NCAA on Saturday night. Cornish recorded only 2 points and added 3 assists. Cornish has averaged so far 7.6ppg, 3.9rpg and 3.5apg. He is also Bahamas national team player.

   #14. International forward Nashad Mackey (198, currently plays in NCAA2) helped Embry Riddle University win their game against the Rollins College 79-73 in the NCAA2 on Wednesday night. He recorded 15 points, 8 rebounds, 4 assists and made 3 blocks. Mackey averaged so far 15.0ppg, 10.5rpg, 2.1apg, 1.7bpg and 1.7spg. He plays currently for the Bahamas national team.

   #15. International forward Tavario Miller (203-94, college: Texas A&M, currently plays in Spain) couldn't help Baskonia in their game against Zornotza in the Spanish LEB Silver (third division), despite his very good performance in Saturday night's game. He had a double-double by scoring 19 points and getting 10 rebounds. Miller also added 2 blocks in 29 minutes. But his team was edged 98-95. Miller averaged so far 11.0ppg, 8.4rpg, 1.1apg and 1.3spg in 19 games. Miller attended previously one of camps at Eurobasket Summer League on his way to pro basketball. He is also in the roster of the Bahamas national team.


The list of other players, who all have Bahamas passport but never been selected to any of Bahamas national teams:

   #1. Klay Thompson (201-G-90, college: Washington St., currently plays in NBA) led Golden State Warriors to a victory over the Los Angeles Lakers (27-26) 115-101 in the NBA last Saturday. He was the best player in that game. Thompson scored 28 points (!!!) and grabbed 5 rebounds. The Golden State Warriors have a solid 37-15 record this season. It's Thompson's eighth year with the team. He has individually a very good year with high stats. Thompson averages: 21.8ppg, 4.1rpg, 2.0apg and 1.1spg. He has a dual citizenship: Bahamas and American.

   #2. Nathan Bain (198-F, currently plays college basketball in the States) contributed to a SF Austin's victory against the Central Arkansas (1-5) 105-99 in the NCAA in Wednesday night's game. Bain recorded 10 points and grabbed 6 rebounds. The Stephen F. Austin State University has 2-3 conference record this season. Bain has been at the team for four years. His total stats this year are: 5.7ppg, 4.5rpg, 1.5apg and 1.2spg.

   #3. Radshad Davis (188-G, currently studies in the States) helped Texas Arlington win their game against the Texas State University at San Marcos (4-2) 84-77 in the NCAA last Saturday. Davis recorded 12 points and grabbed 4 rebounds in 28 minutes. The University of Texas at Arlington has a solid 4-2 conference record this season. This year Davis' total stats are: 8.4ppg and 5.7rpg in 22 games he played so far.

   #4. Winslo Barry (208-F-90, college: Incarnate Word, currently plays in Spain) could not help Naron (5-10) in their last game on Saturday. Despite his good performance Naron (#12) was defeated 78-63 at home by the higher-ranked Gijon Basket (#7) in the Group A-B. Barry was the second best scorer with 13 points. He also added 7 rebounds. Barry's total stats this season are: 8.7ppg and 6.6rpg.

   #5. Azaro Roker (198-F, currently plays in Canada) was not able to help the St. Francis Xavier in their game against the Sea Hawks (5-9) in the U Sports. He recorded 6 points, 6 rebounds and 2 blocks in 24 minutes. The St. Francis Xavier (#6) was edged 82-79 on the road by the Sea Hawks. It was St. Francis Xavier's third consecutive loss in a row. This year Roker's total stats are: 10.0ppg, 10.5rpg and 2.4bpg in 14 games.

   #6. Kaleel Solomon (185-G, currently plays in NCAA2) was not able to secure a victory for the Montevallo University in their game against the Valdosta State University in the NCAA2. Solomon cannot count Thursday's game as one of the best ones. He scored only 3 points in 5 minutes on the court. His team lost 70-75 in the NCAA2. Solomon has averaged so far 4.3ppg and 1.9rpg in 10 games.

   #7. Shamir Rolle (198-C, currently plays in NAIA) helped Freed-Hardeman University win their game against the Columbia College, MO 76-70 in the NAIA last Saturday. He recorded 6 points. Rolle has averaged so far 2.3ppg and 2.8rpg.

   #8. Willis Mackey (203-F, currently plays in NAIA) helped University of Northwestern Ohio win their game against the Aquinas College 68-57 in the WHAC on Saturday night. He recorded 24 points and grabbed 9 rebounds in 34 minutes. Mackey averaged so far 14.6ppg and 8.2rpg in 13 games.

   #9. Aaron Levarity (198-F, currently plays in NAIA) helped Milligan College win their game against the Allen University 81-72 in the AAC in Saturday night's game. He recorded a double-double by scoring 22 points and getting 11 rebounds. This season Levarity has very high stats. He averages: 18.1ppg, 12.6rpg, 1.8apg and 1.4bpg.

   #10. Daejour Adderley (188-G, currently plays in NAIA) helped Saint Thomas University win their game against the Johnson and Wales University, FL 75-69 in the TSC last Thursday. Adderley scored 8 points and added 8 passes in 34 minutes. Adderley has averaged so far 7.4ppg, 3.3rpg and 4.2apg in 18 games.

GJIO BAIN Kagoshima Rebnise (B League D3) signed 33-year old Bahamas ex-international center Gjio Bain (211-102kg-85, college: S.Mississippi). He is the second import player in the roster as USA Shelton Boykin signed here earlier. It is actually Bain's comeback to Renova as he has played here before.
