Regulators - BIBT Great W. 69-67 The most exciting game of round 7 in the NPBA took place in Nassau. This derby game ended with only two-point defeat on the road of bottom-ranked BIBT Great W. (0-5) to fourth ranked Regulators (3-2) 69-67 on Monday evening. Regulators forced 25 BIBT Great W. turnovers and outrebounded them 68-47 including a 32-13 advantage in offensive rebounds. 24 personal fouls committed by BIBT Great W. helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. Hakeem Walkes fired 15 points and 6 rebounds for the winners. Wilfred Culmer chipped in 8 points, 7 rebounds and 6 assists. Regulators' coach used an eleven-player rotation in such tough game. Nathan Sullivan produced a double-double by scoring 18 points, 10 rebounds, 6 assists and 5 steals and Judinio Wilson added 20 points and 6 rebounds respectively for lost side. Regulators moved-up to third place. Newly promoted BIBT Great W. still closes the standings with five games lost. (#6). High Flyers (4-1) crushed visiting BIBT Great W. (0-5) by 34 points 94-60. High Flyers dominated down low during the game scoring 64 of its points in the paint compared to BIBT Great W.'s 32. High Flyers forced 23 BIBT Great W. turnovers and outrebounded them 50-34 including a 33-19 advantage in defensive rebounds. High Flyers players were unselfish on offense dishing 24 assists comparing to just 5 passes made by BIBT Great W.'s players. Worth to mention a great performance of Devontae Gibson who helped to win the game recording 26 points and 8 rebounds. Shantoin Pratt contributed with 4 points and 12 assists for the winners. High Flyers' coach felt very confident that he used 11 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. American power forward Jason Collier (213-77, college: Georgia Tech) answered with 19 points and 6 rebounds and Judinio Wilson added 15 points in the effort for BIBT Great W.High Flyers have a solid series of three victories in a row. Abaco Strong was defeated at home 92-97 and even the advantage of their own court did not help. High Flyers dominated down low during the game scoring 72 of its points in the paint compared to Abaco Strong's 50. High Flyers forced 28 Abaco Strong turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists. It was a great evening for Devontae Gibson who led his team to a victory scoring 25 points and 7 rebounds (on 12-of-14 shooting from the field). Jeremy Neely helped adding 19 points and 4 assists. High Flyers' coach allowed to play the deep bench players in such tough game. At the losing side Tevin Hudson responded with a double-double by scoring 28 points, 10 rebounds, 5 assists and 4 steals and Chauncey Cooper produced a double-double by scoring 13 points, 13 rebounds and 4 assists. Four High Flyers and five Abaco Strong players scored in double figures. High Flyers have a solid series of three victories in a row. Bahamas Univ. forced 22 Shockers turnovers. 27 personal fouls committed by Shockers helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. It was an exceptional evening for Kemsy Sylvestre who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 19 points, 14 rebounds, 5 assists and 4 steals. Timothy Grant accounted for 17 points and 9 rebounds for the winning side. Four Bahamas Univ. players scored in double figures. William Rigby came up with 29 points and 7 rebounds and point guard Lenny Oscar added 21 points and 4 steals respectively for Shockers in the defeat. Both coaches used bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Bahamas Univ. have a solid series of four victories in a row. They maintain first place with 4-0 record, which they share with Giants. Shockers at the other side keep the fourth position with three games lost. Bahamas Univ.'s supporters look forward to another derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from Nassau Giants.
