Here is the weekly review of the top performing Bahamas players, who play currently abroad.
#1. This week's number one is an international center
DeAndre Ayton (216-98, college:
Arizona, currently plays in NBA). He led
Phoenix Suns to a victory over the Portland Trail Blazers (13-18)
111-107 in the NBA in Tuesday night's game.
Ayton was MVP of the game. He had a double-double by scoring 28 points and getting 13 rebounds in 45 minutes on the court.
The Phoenix Suns have a very good 24-5 record this season.
It was his team's third consecutive victory in a row.
It's Ayton's fourth year with the team.
Ayton has individually a very good season with high stats. He averages: 16.8ppg, 11.2rpg, 1.6apg, 2FGP: 62.8%(155-247), 3FGP: 16.7% and FT: 66.1% in 21 games he played so far.
Ayton played for the Bahamas senior national team one years ago.
#2. Second place goes to an international guard
Buddy Hield (193-93, college:
Oklahoma, currently plays in NBA). He was the main contributor in a
Sacramento Kings' victory against the San Antonio Spurs (11-18)
121-114 in the NBA last Sunday.
Hield was the best player in that game. He recorded 29 points (!!!) and added 4 assists.
The Sacramento Kings have 13-18 record this season.
Hield is one of the most experienced players in a team as it's his fifth year in Kings' roster.
This season Hield has very high stats. He averages: 16.0ppg, 3.9rpg, 2.1apg, 2FGP: 44.2%, 3FGP: 37.4% and FT: 86.4%.
Hield played for the Bahamas national team in 2020.
#3. The Bahamas player who performed third best last week abroad was an international power forward
Aaron Levarity (203-97, college:
Milligan, currently plays in Denmark). He contributed to
Svendborg's victory against the closely-ranked Horsens IC (5-5)
105-96 in the Danish BasketLigaen on Wednesday night.
Levarity had a double-double by scoring 17 points and getting 12 rebounds. He also added 3 assists and 3 steals in 25 minutes; quite an impressive performance considering it's only Levarity's third season in pro basketball. Svendborg Rabbits (9-1) is placed second in the BasketLigaen.
It was his team's third consecutive victory in a row.
Levarity has relatively good stats this year: 13.6ppg, 10.7rpg, 2.7apg, 1.3spg, 2FGP: 69.2%(54-78), 3FGP: 22.2% and FT: 64.0% in 10 games.
He is also a member of the Bahamas senior national team.
#4. Forward
Tavario Miller (203-94, college:
Texas A&M, currently plays in Basketball Champions League Americas) was the major contributor in
Minas' victory against the closely-ranked Obras (0-2)
95-84 in the Basketball Champions League Americas in Wednesday night's game.
He scored 20 points and grabbed 6 rebounds.
It was the game of the round between two top 4 ranked teams. Minas Belo Horizonte (2-0) is placed first in the Basketball Champions League Americas.
There are only four games left until the end of the Basketball Champions League Americas Regular Season. So now every game will be critical.
This season Miller has relatively solid stats: 12.5ppg, 4.5rpg and 1.5spg.
Worth to mention Miller played also at
Eurobasket Summer League, which helped him get the job in pro basketball. He is also Bahamas national team player.
#5. International forward
Travis Munnings (198-94, agency:
Duran International, college:
ULM, currently plays in Portugal) contributed to an easy victory against the league outsider Vitoria SC (1-10) crushing them
108-68 in the Portuguese LPB last Friday.
Munnings scored 14 points and grabbed 6 rebounds in 22 minutes; not bad, considering it's only his third season in pro basketball. Sport Lisboa Benfica (9-1) is placed first in the LPB.
It was his team's fifth consecutive victory in a row.
This year Munnings' overall stats are: 8.1ppg, 5.2rpg, 2.3apg and 1.2spg in 10 games.
He has a dual citizenship: Bahamas and American.
Munnings plays currently for the Bahamas national team.
#6. Power forward
David Nesbitt (203-91, college:
St.Thomas, FL, currently plays in Argentina). He could not help
Boca (7-0) to beat Obera (1-6).
Nesbitt scored 7 points and grabbed 4 rebounds.
The league leader Boca was defeated
86-73 at home by the lower-ranked Obera (#5).
There are only two games left until the end of the Regular Season. So now every game is very crucial.
It's Nesbitt's first season with the team.
His total stats this year are: 9.1ppg, 4.8rpg and 1.6apg.
Nesbitt is an international player who is currently on the senior Bahamas National Team roster.
#7. International swingman
Jonathan McFall (196-99, currently plays in NCAA2) contributed to a
Slippery Rock University's victory against the Wheeling University (2-3)
76-71 in the NCAA2 in Tuesday night's game.
He scored 20 points and grabbed 6 rebounds in 26 minutes.
The Slippery Rock University has 3-0 record this season.
So far his team won all three games in the Regular Season.
But this is still an early stage of the season and everything may happen.
McFall has very impressive stats this year: 17.3ppg, 6.6rpg, 1.1bpg and 1.1spg in nine games.
He is also Bahamas national team player.
#8. Forward
Jonathan Augustin-Fairell (201-93, college:
Murray St., currently plays in France) helped
Chalon/Saor win their game against the 13th-ranked Saint Vallier (4-6)
92-86 in the French ProB (second division) on Friday night.
He recorded 6 points in 17 minutes.
ES Chalon-Sur-Saone (7-3) is placed second in the ProB.
It was his team's third consecutive victory in a row.
But the season just started, so everything may happen.
This year Augustin-Fairell's total stats are: 8.2ppg and 3.4rpg in five games.
He is another player who holds two passports: Bahamas and American.
Augustin-Fairell used to play for the Bahamas national team
back in 2018.
#9. International guard
Garvin Clarke (183-1, currently plays college basketball in the States) managed to help The University of Akron to win against the Wright State University (1-1)
66-48 in the NCAA on Wednesday night.
He recorded 5 points and grabbed 8 rebounds.
The The University of Akron has 3-3 overall record this season.
Clarke has averaged so far 2.8ppg, 2.9rpg and 1.3apg.
He is also in the roster of the Bahamas national team.
#10. Center
Shaquille Cleare (203-93, college:
Texas, currently plays in Spain) helped
Lleida win their game against one of league's weakest teams Huesca (2-10)
100-81 in the Spanish LEB Gold (second division) in Friday night's game.
Cleare scored 5 points in 10 minutes.
ICG Forca Lleida (9-3) is placed second in the LEB Gold.
It was his team's third consecutive victory in a row.
Cleare has averaged so far 7.5ppg and 2.0rpg in two games.
He is international player as one years ago he still played for the Bahamas senior national team.

Sammy Hunter (206-0, currently studies in the States) helped
Ole Miss win their game against the Middle Tennessee State University
62-52 in the NCAA last Wednesday.
Hunter recorded only 2 points.
This season Hunter averages just 2.9ppg.
He plays currently for the Bahamas national team.
#12. International power forward
Robert Nortmann (204-87, college:
Dalhousie, currently plays in Germany) helped
Schwelm edge the fourth-ranked Rist Wedel
70-68 in the German ProB (third division) on Saturday night.
Nortmann recorded only 3 points in 16 minutes.
Nortmann has averaged so far 5.4ppg and 3.1rpg in 12 games.
He used to play for the Bahamas national team
last year.
#13. Former international power forward
Winslo Barry Jr. (208-90, college:
UIW, currently plays in Finland) helped
Pantterit win their game against the seventh-ranked JyWe
92-84 in the Finnish 1st Division (second division) last Sunday.
He scored 9 points in only 11 minutes.
Barry Jr. has averaged so far 8.3ppg and 6.3rpg in six games.
He used to play for the Bahamas national team
two years ago.
The list of other players, who all have Bahamas passport but never been selected to any of Bahamas national teams: #1. Romero Cornish (193-SF, college:
E.Wyoming, currently plays college basketball in the States), who plays in the NCAA could not help the
Dartmouth in their last game on Thursday. Despite Cornish's very good performance the Dartmouth was defeated
89-78 at home by the Stanford University.
He scored 16 points and grabbed 4 rebounds.
Cornish's total stats this season are: 7.4ppg and 1.7rpg.
#2. Kaosi Ezeague (208-F-99, currently studies in the States) contributed to an
Kansas St.'s victory against the University of Nebraska (0-2)
67-58 in the NCAA in Sunday night's game.
He scored 9 points and grabbed 9 rebounds.
The University of Kansas State has 10-2 overall record this season.
Ezeague has been at the team for four years.
Ezeague has averaged so far 7.8ppg and 5.1rpg.
He has a dual citizenship: Bahamas and Canadian.
#3. Malachi McCoy (196-F, currently plays in NCAA2) led
Benedict College to a victory against the Le Moyne-Owen College (1-2)
69-62 in the NCAA2 last Monday.
McCoy had a double-double by scoring 14 points and getting 11 rebounds in 26 minutes.
It was the game of the round between two top 2 ranked teams. The Benedict College has a very solid 6-0 record this season.
So far his team won all six games in the Regular Season.
McCoy has reliable stats this year: 10.2ppg, 8.3rpg and 1.3bpg in 12 games he played so far.
#4. Malik Joseph (190-G, currently plays in NCAA2) was not able to help the
Newberry College in their game against the Tusculum College (6-2) in the NCAA2. Joseph cannot count Wednesday's game as one of the best ones.
He scored only 2 points.
His team was badly defeated
73-57 on the road by the Tusculum College.
Joseph has averaged so far 4.0ppg and 3.1rpg.
#5. Cedric Delancy Jr. (188-G, currently plays in NAIA) managed to help University of Northwestern Ohio in a victory against the University of Rio Grande (1-0)
58-57 in the NAIA last Saturday.
He scored only 2 points and grabbed 5 rebounds in 32 minutes.
The University of Northwestern Ohio has 3-3 record this season.
Delancy Jr. has averaged so far 4.2ppg and 3.3rpg in 15 games.
#6. Brandon Meadows (190-G, currently plays in NAIA) was not able to secure a victory for the
University of Southwest in their last game on Friday. Despite his very good performance the University of Southwest (#5) was defeated
85-77 in Espanola by the Northern New Mexico College.
Meadows recorded 17 points, 9 rebounds, 6 assists and made 2 blocks.
Meadows has reliable stats this season: 11.5ppg, 8.0rpg, 5.0apg and 1.5spg.
#7. Blaize Darling Jr. (190-G, currently plays in NAIA) couldn't help the
Warner University (2-1) in their last game. Despite his good performance the Warner University lost
85-92 in St. Louis to the Missouri Baptist University.
Darling Jr. recorded 12 points in a mere 17 minutes.
Darling Jr. has individually a very good year with high stats. He averages: 15.5ppg, 4.4rpg, 1.5apg and 1.4spg in 10 games.
#8. Edriel Martinborough (180-PG, currently plays in NAIA) couldn't help the
Evangel University in their game against the Baker University in the NAIA.
Martinborough scored only 4 points.
His team was defeated
64-60 in the NAIA.
Martinborough has averaged so far 10.0ppg, 5.8rpg and 2.4apg.
#9. Greg McKay (198-SF, currently plays in NCAA2) couldn't help the
Limestone College in their game against the Coker College in the NCAA2. He cannot count Wednesday's game as one of the best ones.
